Minor server problem
News

Update, 31st of July: Unfortunately, it will take a few more days to fix. We're working on it. It should be fixed on the 3rd of August.

Over the past day or so, the server has been quite a bit slower than usually. Due to vacation time, it hasn't been dealt with as fast as it'd usually be, but we expect it to be solved at some point today.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Cyanide releases new .dem-pack
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

With the new stage editor for PCM2010, the stage makers need .dem-files to create the terrain that their stage takes place in. Unfortunately, this was only provided for Europe (and very small parts of the rest of the world), and since the release, Cyanide has worked on new terrain data.

... and now, it's available. It's still not the entire world, but with new terrain data for USA, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Oman, Qatar and Australia (among others), most of the important countries are now covered.

Due to the large size (1.6 GB), it's being shared through P2P for now, although we may relocate it to our file server later on (at the beginning of the next month). If that's not a problem, get working on those American races right now ;)

Once you have finished downloading the file, please seed it to allow others to download the file as well.  Torrent files rely on other people "seeding" (sending the file to downloaders) to survive. Without any seeders the download will die. So enjoy the files, but remember to keep the zip file and help others enjoy it too.

Fantasy Cycling: Transfers for August
PCM.daily's Fantasy Cycling

So, it's that time of month again. The Tour has just passed, and, as expected the scores for June are yet to surface... So guesswork is needed here at the best of times! The Vuelta kicks off at the end of the month, but, as it's close to the end of the month, I've decided that the transfers for September (basically the Vuelta) will open a week before the start of the Vuelta, and run until the day before the start. Allowing you to take the most amount of changes prior to the 3rd and final big chance to score points this season.

As for this month, the Tour of Poland, the Eneco Tour, GP Ouest Plouay and Vattenfall Classics all are there for the taking (points wise), with the Tour of Denmark, Vuelta a Burgos, Dutch Food Valley Classic, and Tre Valli Varesine all providing ample races to gain back what you may estimate you didn't gain in the Tour (or June...). And of course, we aren't even beginning to mention the plentiful supply of .1 classified races which are in abundance.

Please look back to the last transfer news to remind yourself of what you traded in and out, and start praying that I get my act together and post up some scores soon!

As usual, PMs to myself [rjc_43] or SportingNonsense are fine until the turn of the month [11.59PM GMT time, 31st July] as are replies here. Abuse can also be directed via PM to myself.

EDIT: For those who are interested, Andrey KASHECHKIN (Lampre) costs 700,000.

Any queries about the coming month's end date, please put in the correct forum area/topic, and I'll address them as I see them. Thanks.

Get your weekly PCM$ while you can
News

As some of you may have noticed, there's a new link in the User Menu in the right menu, named "Get weekly PCM$".

It had come to our attention that members were no longer getting their 10 PCM$ for the Betting Game during the week as they were supposed to. Apparently, the script had trouble handling our 40.000 members, so instead, it's now up to you to get your PCM$.

You can click the link once a week from Monday to Sunday (= it's 'reset' every Sunday night). This means that you can get your money any day during the week.

Try it out today and again on Monday ;)

And we're back
News

What a timing, eh?

Yesterday afternoon, PCM.daily went down to what was apparently some bandwidth issues. We have a monthly fixed amount of bandwidth, but we have the possibility of buying more. We did yesterday morning, it was accepted by the host - problem? He forgot to update the limit, leading to the site going down later that day.

Normally, it would have been fixed pretty soon after, but since our host is currently enjoying a vacation in Thailand, he's only online once to twice a day.

Anyway, we're glad to be back for today's important time trial in the Tour de France - have fun.
