As every year, the Tour de France is the highlight of the season for a majority of our members. With just a couple of days more of waiting, we've lined up a few things for you to do mean-while.

First of all, PCM.daily member Crommy has set up a PCM.daily Mini League at Velogames. Make a team and join the rest of us in what seems to be becoming a PCM.daily tradition. You can read more about it here. Don't forget to post a picture of Didi ;)

Second of all, it's also time for placing your fantasy money (PCM$) on the Overall Winner or perhaps the best sprinter. Four bets are up, and more will come during the Tour.

Earlier today Cyanide gave an outline over what aspects they are currently working, on and now the latest patch has been released!

Two of the main aspects now fixed are that of World Championships riders selection, and the occurence of some young talents having particularly high stats.

Quite unusually, Cyanide has decided to give a list of the primary problems that they are currently working on.

1st priority is the activation problem. Many of those who have bought the dvd version are asked for an activation key although these are not included with PCM10 (well, technically, they are on the disk, but never mind...), This means that they can't play the game at all. It's not a problem that we've seen much here at PCM.daily, but it's heavily debated at other forums. E.g., the Danish forum was flooded with questions like that when the game was released officially yesterday.

Other than that, Cyanide has fixed the World Championship problem (too few good riders). Whether you can benefit from the fix in an already started career depends on how far you are in your save game. The patch will also fix the crash in season mode, the Eddy Merckx-like young riders bug in career mode and the fact that no bonuses are given in time trials.

On the other hand, Cyanide says that they are unable to reproduce the run time error crash in Season Mode which happened during the creation of it - a problem that several members have mentioned here.
Lastly, they also mention that creating more 3D stages are not the top priority, although they are working on it.

Unlike last year, where we had a database ready for the release of PCM09, we've been a bit more 'reluctant' this year, mainly because we had some work to do before a PCM10 release was possible - primarily the new prologue stat which we had to give all the riders in the DB.

Anyway, we're getting closer to a release, and we expect to have the Public Beta version ready within a day or two (or perhaps three...). It's not a full conversion of our 2010 DB for PCM09, simply because it's impossible to convert all the stages and races in such a short amount of time - but we did include all the equipment, more than 1.000 new shirts, 17 new teams (3 or 4 have been deleted), all the free agents from the previous DBs --- and plenty of other features that I'll get back to when the DB is ready.

Update: Cyanide has now announced that it's a beta patch. An official patch with more fixes will be "released in the following days".

As expected, the 2nd patch for PCM10 has now been released. The main fix seems to be one that was created with the 1st patch: the fact that it was only possible to play the 1st year of career mode. With this patch, it should now be possible, even in already existing careers.
