Track Ladder Rankings now Live
Pro Cycling Manager 2011

Those who play plenty of online play on Pro Cycling Manager 2011, specifically track cycling, will be pleased to know that the track ladder ranking system is now working properly - for Keirin and Scratch races at least!

We have been able to play ladder games since the game was released, and while appearing on the ladder system, no rankings were provided - but this has now appeared, and it does include all the games that have previously been played.

Of course the problem of the track ladder from previous still remains though, as while winning helps, playing constantly, regardless of results, is also a good method of moving up the rankings!

Status on PCM.daily's DB for PCM11
News

We've been a little quiet about the PCM.daily DB for PCM11, but since I'm getting a lot of questions, and wrong guesses about a potential release date have surfaced, I suppose it's time for me to get some information out there.

Facts first: The 1st version (whether that's a beta or a final version) will be released before the end of the Tour de France.

This version will contain a few new teams, a few new races, a few variants, over 200 real sponsors (no more S-Mobile, British Airwash etc.), real equipment (although not anywhere near as much as in the previous versions of the PCM.daily DB) among other smaller features, like realistic trainers, scouts, journalists etc.

The database would probably have been released by now, had it not been for a storm that hit Copenhagen a week ago and took my internet connection with it. Since then I have been using my slow 3G connection which is not anywhere near good enough to download stuff like stages. When the "proper" internet is back, the DB can be finalized and uploaded in a matter of a couple of days.

And let me end this note with a thanks to those who have been helping out with some of my many specific requests so far: Riccoen, BouBBox, Bubba, Roturn, Ruiribeiro, MarcoPRT, MacC, pcm-hardtune, Siwi (riders' regions, stats etc.), Sykkel_Freak, KenL (logos and transferts), Felix_29, BoogieBoogie and ANFreeman (equipment).

3rd Patch for PCM2011!
Pro Cycling Manager 2011

Just 4 days after Patch number 2, comes Patch number 3: 1.0.3.0. It can be download from the Focus website with this link.

Click Read More to see the full details of this patch. Good news for stage makers is that while the still annoying minimum circuit length still exists, it has been reduced from 10km to 6km.

PCM.daily Predicts: TDF GC
SN's Tour de France

For the past couple of weeks, there has been a TDF Predictions thread up on our forum, with many members predicting the Top 10 in the Tour de France GC, amongst other aspects of the race. Using these predictions - awarding 10 points to a rider for a 1st place prediction, 9 points for a 2nd place etc etc - Ive compiled a projected Top 10 for the Tour.

Interestingly, it is Andy Schleck who comes out on top. 40 people may have said Contador to win, versus the 31 opting for Schleck - but while amost everyone has Schleck in the Top 2, a handful didnt select Contador in the Top 10, thus skewing the rankings somewhat. Behind them, there is expected to be a 3-way bettle for 3rd - with Samuel Sanchez edging Gesink by barely anything, and Jurgen van den Broeck rounding out the Top 5.

1 Andy Schleck
2 Alberto Contador
3 Samuel Sanchez
4 Robert Gesink
5 Jurgen Van den Broeck
6 Ivan Basso
7 Frank Schleck
8 Cadel Evans
9 Bradley Wiggins
10 Andreas Kloden

Click read more to see the Top 20 selections, with the points for each included. And if you havent looked at it already, ricotero_uy has put together a very good topic as a guide to the Tour de France, while today's opening Tour de France stage can be discussed in the Stage 1 topic.
