Cyanide has released the fourth patch for PCM12 - and judging by the changelog, one could call it the first major patch.

The patch fixes issues in both career and multiplayer and adds functionality too. For example, it's now finally possible to renew a contract with your sponsor. And in multiplayer, it's possible to play stages with real teams in friendly mode.

While there's been some praise of Pro Cycling Manager 12, there's also been some (okay, a lot) critism. Three patches have already been released, but these have mainly focused on the new armada mode.

However, in the next patch, the 4th one, it appears there's going to be taken care of a lot of important bugs. A patch log has appeared, and while it may not be the final one, it does give us some hope.

The third patch has been released by Cyanide focusing on multiplayer. Surprisingly, no changes were made to any other mode except Armada, so it will not affect your career in any way. The patch is released as an update for the 1.1.0.2 patch, meaning that you will have to update to 1.1.0.2 before installing the 1.1.0.3 patch.

[MULTIPLAYER]

- Major fix: Having been connected to a race (stage/race name, distance and profile displayed at the top of the page) with the countdown active, it is possible that the clock freezes at 00'00; the race never loads and you are never brought to the starting line.

- Fix : fix a possible crash which could happen when launching a 2nd race as a host.

- Fix: deactivate the “Escape” button during a multiplayer race.

- Adjustment : change inrace chat text color

Just a few days after releasing a beta patch fixing the weak rider issue, Cyanide released a second official patch.

[CAREER]
- Major fix: Correction to bug introduced in V1.1.0.1 which made unseen changes to rider attributes generating unrealistic behaviour and results. This fix does not require the restart of a career; it is applied when you continue an existing game.

[Stages]
- Fix: fixed a little road problem on the Italian Championships race.

For those who use Steam, it is now possible to download Pro Cycling Manager 2012 on it. The 47 Achievements that we first saw last year are now fully integrated into Steam aswell.
