With the next editions of Pro Cycling Manager 2013 and Tour de France 2013 still a couple of months away, there might still be some unanswered questions.
Here at PCM.daily, we usually interview the two teams behind the games, and that's also the plan this year. However, as a small twist, we'd like to involve you.
Since there's already been at least one interview with Cyanide, the most 'basic' questions have been answered - but if there's anything that has left you wondering, anything yet to be asked about either PCM13 or TDF13, this is your chance.
Ask your question in the comments section, and we might bring your question to the interview with Cyanide. We'll pick the best / most relevant ones Sunday evening and hopefully get the chance to bring them to Cyanide next week.
As the previous years, the game is going to centered around the Tour de France route where you can take control of any rider on the teams in the game.
However, as one of the new things you will be able to create your own custom tour and play your selection of stages from the Tour de France. Assuming Cyanide will release additional tours, like in previous years, you might be able to mix and match from the various races.
Racing wise, it's mentioned that the teams now have certain objectives linked to them - and completing these will be reflected on a player's progress bar.
Other than that, the info on the webshop mentions graphical updates (new engine for animations, new podiums, buildings, scenery etc.).
With just two months to the release of Pro Cycling Manager 2013, the news are starting to flow in a regular pace.
This time it's a webshop that's revealing the features of the upcoming game in short-form on its website.
Some of the following was already covered in PCMFrance's interview with Cyanide, but there's also new info - like three new hidden stats, possibility to control national teams in single races and a new map view.
"Manage your team (season planner, training, scouting, strategy…) before and during a race. Spectacular quality of graphics (HD textures for riders…) 80 teams, +170 events (+650 stages)! Intuitive GUI. Powerful race editor to create your own routes
Integrated help/hints for a better gaming experience
Hidden new characteristics: tiredness, will and regularity
New training system integrated to the season planner
Rider objectives: Personalized Season Planner, resolve conflits between pro and personal goals
New Sponsoring system: negotiations of objectives and rewards
New map view during the race that gives info (position, size of the road…)
New rider animations + HD Textures
New Physical engine improvement divides riders in 2 groups: Explosive VS Diesel
Richer scenery for an even deeper immersion
Possibility to manage national teams in the single race mode
New landmarks such as Mont St Michel and a brand new finish on the Champs- Elysées!"
Update: Cyanide are releasing screenshots every now and then, so make sure ot keep your eyes on the screenshot section.
2 weeks ago it was time to unveil some of the PCM13 features. Now we also get the first two screenshots and more news are announced for today.
When looking on the screenshots you might first realize that the graphic is pretty much the same than in PCM 12. But obviously they got some new licences as RadioShack is no longer RadioCa$h for example.
Also you can see some new Isolated Buildings I think.
Want to make sure that Pro Cycling Manager 2013 is worth playing once it's released in June? Well, here's your chance to get some influence on this.
Cyanide is looking for beta testers who'd be willing to give feedback on the upcoming game's multiplayer mode, 3D races and career mode.
The beta testing will run from 2nd to 30th of April, and speaking from experience, it's simply about playing PCM as much as possible and report your 'sightings' (and bugs) in the best possible manner. If you're not happy with e.g. the AI, this is probably the best chance you can get to give feedback and get listened to by the ones who can actually change it.
