Well, well, well. It`s 3 months, 2 GTs, the Flanders and Ardennes week and many more PT/PTHC events having taken place since the last update.
Time to change this. Less text as usual, more data. Month for Month and a total as usual.
Evonik take the March crown with big resutls by Van Stayen in Nederlands and Van Avermaet beating Bewley in the Ronde!
Moser as expected high up there as well in the cobbled month! Bewley might not have won the Ronde but is getting the E3 and also Appia Antica.
Aegon the more surprising 3rd here but winning Afrique in the 3rd consecutive time as also doing well in Pais Vasco and their home race, it was a fair good amount of points for the struggling team.
Puma, RBC, Festina just scoring almost as good as them though and almost three times as much as the weaker teams at the bottom.

The month of hte Giro and with Schleck taking yet another GT, EA Vesuvio is the month leader, most of their points from the GT win obviously.
Puma having a fairly good GT as well alongside winning California with Herklotz plus a solid Liechtenstein makes them best of the rest not far behind.
Festina also had a fantastic GT and is above the 1000 mark just like Hugo Boss, eBuddy and UBS, which all had big scoring in the Giro.
T-Mobile and Aegon not even scored 200 points this Giro and hence are on the bottom 3 spots.
Bewley in Paris Roubaix, Spilak in Liechtenstein and Ponzi in Amstel Gold making it big scorings for their teams in one race at least.

The Ardennes finished with Ponzi taking another win in the Fleche but he wasn`t able to repeat his triple as Sagan surprised in Liege!
Therefore Ponzi dominated in Scandinavia by winning all stages and the GC while Boasson Hagen taking his home race in Norway.
The Vuelta though was the big event! And it was the race for Puma`s future and already great Herklotz. First GT for him! And dominating it really. Hugo Boss with mountain goat Alarcon dominating the KoM while RBC also topped the 1000 points in the Vuelta with Phinney as best of the rest. Bennelong (Howard....wow!) and Gazelle did decent as well and got big scoring while Tinkoff had a solid GT, which is much needed as they struggle a lot this year.

Puma being in the top4 in each of the three months making a huge step forward and actually lead the full ranking with a nice gap already ahead of Moser!
EA Vesuvio with their Giro also still up there defending their podium from post February and also Hugo Boss is still in 4th.
Evonik with a small jump to 5th while Festina from 18th to 6th with the biggest step.
Air France from 5th to 12th with one of the biggest losses but also T-Mobile (2->14). Isostar (7->16) can`t be too happy.
Below the line Berg really looks awfully placed with more than 200 points already to Volvo and another 200 points to Porto!
Then a bit closer to UBS and Tinkoff, who are in reach to the first safe spot of Desigual, Isostar and also Aker.
The Tour de France surely being a big race for some. The others will need to take care.

Herklotz from nowhere to 1st, Phinney and Alarcon with some of the biggest steps forward while Ponzi defends his 2nd ahead of Demare and Giro winner Schleck. Bewley at 5th might have had his best races already.
Taaramae from 2rd to 21st had some training time but is one of those top riders without Giro and Vuelta each. Similar for Spilak.

wtf Puma. 1500 ahead of everyone else... Obvioulsy they've been having a massive season so far, with Herklotz winning a GT, Demare six stages in Giro and lots of wins elsewhere, but didn't expect they would so far ahead of the rest. And seeing the teams that are behind... i find a hard time thinking that anyone can really catch them, even if Herklotz and Demare must not have a lot of RD's left.
Also, lovely to see that Jacopo Mosca has already 113 points and is close to the Top100 of the rankings

This was an impressively shitty season so far it seems...if we can't turn it around we've got to fear relegation it seems, something I hoped we're far away of
May was awful. And being the worst team in the full Vuelta is absolutely inacceptable...

Thank you for the update roturn. We are in pretty big danger here. Amador is the only one scoring any significant points for us, and he only has 1 small race remaining (Tour de Suisse). It clearly looks like we're headed back to PCT.
Pretty disappointing year from Trofimov, he has rarely been a factor in races and has avoided top-10 placings pretty consistently. I expected a lot more with his salary and stats. At least he is a large chunk of the wage cap that I can clear up when we relegate.

13th is way better than I had expected my team.
2 bad and mediocre GTs. No GC stuff at all despite sending Dekker and Olivier, who expect for one stage didn`t go into any real attacks different to those KoM beasts scoring massive.
Then Swift doing pretty well in Vuelta but far from what you would expect him normally and even worse as both him and Groenewegen are having a fully shit season so far in basically most races. SAA Afrique luckily was an exception.
De Bie is doing okay but far from the 83 stat he now has. 5th to10th is maximum it seems and not the biggest scoring.
Still I had expected me to be 5 spots lower. |

Thank you for the update, roturn!
And wow, we would have been 20 points or so above the relegation zone without the points from Tour of Norway. That says a lot about our season so far, and also a lot about what is to come, especially as I expect a bad Tour de France in terms of points scoring. Pre-season I really thought we were going to be a long way away from relegation, but it's clear we're right in the battle to avoid it. I really need Ciolek to step it up after his disastrous Giro, and something good will hopefully come from Beltran as well, as he has many race days that should suit him very well in the second part of the season. There are also more good race days for Trentin there, so hopefully our leaders will all perform, at least according to their stats. As depending on surprise results like Vangstad's result in Norway is rather sketchy in the fight to avoid relegation
Having said all that, the second part of the season should be better for us, as the GTs are our obvious weak spot, so I still think we've got a good shot at securing a mid-table finish if some races go our way. The gaps from seventh all the way down to the relegation zone are also very small, meaning we should be in for a very interesting second half
Puma dominating at the top was to be expected after Herklotz' brilliant Vuelta. Looks difficult for anyone to catch them at thi stage, but hopefully Moser can challenge them slightly, for the sake of excitement at the top of the standings. |

Three solid months and a good leap forward on the rankings. Brilliant! Fear this will be our highest position this season though, as Martin, Bakelants and Wisniowski have all used the majority of their race days. Boeckmans need to step up his game in the Tour if we are to have a shot at top 10 for the final rankings.
At the top... Well, wow. Can't see anyone catching up to Puma now.
Thx for the update!

I knew we were poorly placed in the standings, but I never thought the difference was so big.
The last races were a total disaster for us. The two gt's run so far little or nothing gave the team, Cattaneo was horrible in both and we were clearly harmed by it.
Also Gesink was very poor in the race in which he participated, and I still can not understand why my team refrain from participating in the breaks, if we are not favorites to anything the team should always try to fight by stages or KoMs. Unfortunately this has not happened so far.
We were already doomed from the start of the season, but with these results any rests of hope still exists eventually disappears.
The only positive aspect to be drawn from this Seasons is that when it comes to renewals my riders will have no choice but to accept large reductions in wages.
Thanks for the update and good luck for all those who, unlike us, still fight orr some objectives in this season.

Very happy with 6th at this point, although I am aware of the fact that we will drop significantly udring the upcoming months which really doesn't suit us. We do, however have enough of a gap for us to feel Secure in terms of the relegation battle, especially seeing most teams have used up as many or more key rider racedays than us.
Quite happy to see that my 5 leaders are all working well. Coquard already above the 1000 point mark, while Lecuisinier still have the TDF to score 415 points, which should be possible if he can do something like 5th and a U25 win. Koretzky doing alright, although I would have liked to see more. 750 points is our aim for him. Maxime Daniel doing very well scoring better than most similar cobblers and quite close to riders like Trentin and Summerhill. Also Vlatos doing his usual 300-or so points. Maybe he can land the best pure TTer win of the season.
On the negative are the new lieutenaints Chamorro and Van der Hugenhaben. Both performing absolutely horrible. Atleast we can free up quite some wage there and then get back Van Niekerk and a better Fabbro. Both should score around half of what those bastards have done on minimum wage.
Overall very happy with the transition after the loss of two massive point scorers in Spilak and Coppel while also Selling Tom David. 4000 points from last season.
Unfortunately my goals are not going well so money will be a struggle next season. But Herklotz can't be beat anyway so no point in training Lecuisinier :-)

Not last! As per tradition in the PT, right in the middle of the relegation battle. Not suprised one bit.

Im pretty hyped by this. Two GTs done and still fairly high in the rankings. A small drop will occur with Tour, Dauphine and Suisse but after that it will only go uphill again and im fairly confident that a top 5 finish is realistic again. The dream would be to finish 3th to beat all predictions once again as ive done every season so far.
A bit of a shame that we'll have the shorter stick in our rivalry with Puma this year but they deserve to be up there.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Puma two riders top 3 in the standings says enough imo.
Obviously I wanted more from Alarcon, but this isnt looking too bad thanks to the brilliant Ponzi! Winning the induvidual standings with him gotta be the goal this year!
Thanks for the massive update roturn!

Dangerous place to be in at 20th, but we're used to this distress. It'll be tough to turn things around, but at least distances to the safe zone aren't enormous.
Puma's gap though, that's something! What a season for cio!
Thanks for the stupendous update, roturn. And thank all of you amazing reporters for giving life to this season. Gotta be hyped for that sassy TdF even though we don't have many stakes in it.

I though we had a couple of good months with Stallaert delivering on cobbles, winning a GT stage aswell as Bertilsson...
But I guess "I´m going down down down."

Thanks for the update roturn, appreciate the effort.
I love that we're solidly inside the top 10, despite some disappointing performances by our two main leaders. The rest of the team is doing a good job of sniping points here and there and Teunissen is a huge improvement over Veelers.
Beating last year's 9th position in the rankings will be a challenge but it's definitely still possible.

As always, thanks for the update.
Things looked really bad prior to the Vuelta/Scandinavia "double header" and fortunately, Howard and Bobridge made it a huge points haul for Bennelong then. We're hopeless in all kind of classics this year, so we need to pick up some heavy scoring through stage races. Howard overperforming in Spain could have been crucial points towards avoiding relegation, but it's still a way to go for us. Morton probably won't score too big in his remaining races (Tour de Suisse as his key race, iirc) and so it's mainly up to Bobridge from now on. Can't see Haig doing anything special after his terrible performances at the Vuelta and in Liechtenstein..

Staying in the ProTour next year is still possible it seems, Hopefully Florian Senechal can perform well during Malopolski Wyscig, East Midlands Cicle Classic and Tour of the Battenkill and Kritskiy can podium at Criterium du Dauphine Libere, plus some luck and it might even happen

I'll try once more. Is there anything I can help with to keep the game running?
