Problems with cobbled tts
disco_vinny
Hi guys, not sure if this belongs here or in the stages sub forum.

Ever since I downloaded the ASO db2014 stages pack my career saves have started crashing. The first time it happened I wrote it off as an anomaly and created a entirely new career save, but it crashed again in this save, during the criterium international I think. It is not during the race, but when I try to advance to the next day.

I am using the default database, with some slight adjustments of contracts etc in lachi's editor.

Any solutions for this problem, or alternatively a way I can easily remove the stages from this pack and got back to how I used to play PCM14. This game is currently unplayable on career mode.

Thanks

Ok, so I've had a closer look this morning and it was the cyanidevariantpack that I downloaded not ASO db2014.

The dates I'm stuck on in each save are both 7th March (de panne TT)

I tried identifying the date of my download (7/8/15) and finding which files in my stages folder were modified on this date, but none have this date. I guess they are assigned the date they were created by their stage makers?

If I could identify which de panne stages in my stage folder were not the originals then i could remove those, but I can't work out which is created and which is official.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This is an odd problem.

1. I don't see how a pack of stages can lead to crashes outside 3D mode.

2. I have used that variant pack for many seasons (20+ in different careers) and have had no problems.

3. That variant pack has no variants for that race! It only has variants for World Tour races except for the Giro del Trentino. 7th of March, that's the 3 days of West-Vlaanderen, not de Panne, by the way.

So... I'm pretty sure the problem must lie elsewhere. One easy (if not permanent) fix would be to just force the advance to the next day, check the forum for that, I've never had to do it, but I believe it's done with Lachi's and/or the fast editor.

Actually, a stage pack could cause crashes if one of the stages is a cobbled TT. Should that be the case, I recommend finding a replacing TT without cobbles.

So time to change the title of the thread into "No Problems with ASO DB2014 stage pack, it's freakin' awesome"

Sorry about the thread title, that was a genuine mistake. I removed cobbled TT stages (whilst it was the west vlaandren TT that caused the problems when I advanced the day it came up as 'simulating de panne TT'Wink and have started a new career - so far everything is ok.

Thanks for the help guys
