Feels incredible to not come last in the TTT against big PT teams and given our complete abandonment of the discipline.

Excellent TTT, Nibali under thirty seconds down on the leading contender at this point is good news. Thanks for the reports SN and congrats to tsmoha.

Congratulations, tsmoha! Must also be a relief to see Morton come away from the crash not injured.
Stake Laengen among the five that put out our time for 10th place there is encouraging. Hopefully that means he isn't injured anymore, if not it says a lot about our (lack of) strength in TTTs
Also happy to see Galta only loose 50 seconds to the stage winners, seeing him just more than a minute behind in the GC. It's a very good start, but it won't be worth much if he can't follow it up in the mountains. Fingers crossed! Though, the mountains are still quite some stages away, and already on the next stage there's a possible trap for him and his bad hilly stat. Hopeully the downhill finish means we'll see a big group together and Galta safe among them.
Thank you for the report, SN! Must say I enjoyed the way you did it, putting out a bunch of pictures in addition to the usual text + pictures. |

Yay we got some pink time!
Solid effort from my boys, to keep it together and challenge Jayco for the victory. The stage win would be great, but tsmoha's guys deserved it. Congrats!
Too bad there's a tough hilly stage tomorrow. The field seems to be evenly divided in this discipline so daily form, should be really important. I get the feeling it's going to open large gaps between the GC men.

Countdown to stage 5 is ticking and I really, really hope that Siskevicius will be on a big day. He should be top favourite for the stage win and this stage was a large reason to bring him here. Can't wait!

Of course we dropped Bongiorno. The team result was good, and 17 seconds is not much, but he just had to be the one of three 68tt riders to not contribute to our finish time.
Let's do a good ride on stage 5 please. Would love to claw some time back somehow.

Decent TTT result for us but those seconds Abal managed to gain om other GC contenders will most likely be lost and some more seconds on the next stage but hopefully him Lövkvist and Ludvigsson can keep it together okayish.
Thanks for the reports so far! |

Stage 3: Hopefully Gusev is alright.
Stage 4: Great screenshots SN!
Tomorrow the first of 4 hilly stages in this Giro, nothing in it for our team. I guess we have to wait up until stage 11 for maybe a breakaway.

Feel for Jayco, who keep missing out on the Maglia Rosa by tiny margins.
But Evonik is on FIREEEEE!!

Decent TTT. We came with nothing really, so finishing 11th is pretty good.
Also my 3 best "GC" riders all in the front group on stage 5 is pretty good. Atleast that gives us a chance to bring 1-2 into the top 50. Kastrantas doesn't look injured which is good, if he decides to get into a breakaway at some point. He should have a decent chance to do well.
Other than that, this Giro has been horrible for us. Coquard have been a complete and utter waste of racedays, so the hope for him to reach a similar amount of points as Tzortzakis is basically gone.

That was not too smart to allow such a gap. But it's still okay. My team definitely ain't strong enough to control a race While it hurts a bit to miss out on an early pink jersey, I'm still happy that Morton looks fine after his first (of x crashes) here. This stage was never going to create bigger gaps, I guess. Evonik probably deserves a victory after MvS failed in the SAA Tour

I really counted on some time losses for my GC guys on that hillstage but positive surprise that they got the same time as those better GC guys on hills.
Only 3 more hills stages for Abal o co to survive
A few seconds away to write that maybe its time for Ahlstrand good recovery stats to make an impact just to realize their was quite a few other sprinters with better recovery stat Atleast he has better then those two other 83 sprint guys |

Great to see Galta do well on the hills, following close behind Alarcon when they caught up to what seemed to be a dangerous group. And big congratulations, knockout! Surely not the rider one expected to solo to the win here, but somehow it worked out very well for them to have Siskevicius here, as that surely allowed Vosekalns some freedom
Now back to the hit and miss stuff that is the sprints. Would be good to see an improvement from Holst Enger compared to the early stages, and surely the profile of stage 6 looks very good for him and his decent hill stat. |

Wow, this is totally awesome. Had huge expectations for Siskevicius and was super disappointed when he dropped but this is far better than everything I could imagine. Getting pink is so amazing and it's even better than if Siskevicius would have done it because Vosekalns could be carried into a good final GC position with the jersey bonus on the first mountain stage if he can defend it till than. Getting the young rider jersey and reclaiming the KoM jersey is sweet as well
Thanks guys

This was a perfect stage for Villella. A pity he decided to join the early break and then drop back instead of waiting for the later hills.
Hopefully tries again later with Boom as well being a potential rider for those kind of stages.
Good to see Olivier in the pack. Looking a lot better now than losing ~3-4min as 69 time trialist in a TTT.
Apparently had been a 1-day injury only.
Congrats to knockout for this nice win and thanks for the excellent reporting so far, SN.
Really nice coverage of the race and great pics. |

Not much too see for us yet... Ulanowski is not great, may be injured even I guess... Prevar did do nothing so far... Only positive as of yet is Kochetkov, who is at least trying to get mentioned here and there...
