Good aggressive ride from Zingle today and he sits in 25th overall, which would be a great result for him.
Terrific win for Trofimov.

Enjoyed that stage - it really is nice to see decent AI in these hilly stages.
More needs to be done to drop the likes of Phinney and Ignatiev on the road stages you'd think. Coppel couldn't make the selection which is certainly expected. But time losses not too bad - depends on how hard the TT is whether Copp can get okay GC result.
Bos and Vinter were really trying to not make time cut - Bos clearly doesn't want to be taking too many points He may have to ask for higher wage!

Cheering for Lulu and Rothaus to get Top 5 and today's stage shows they can. Ignatiev rode great race, no surprise, he is a beast. If he rides same tomorrow then who knows, even a overall win isn't out of sight.
Very much appreciated!
Very good stage for LL Sanchez. Please again on the next stage and the last. And eventually with bigger gaps to those behind and in best case also to Ignatiev/Phinney. |

Great report(s), already the 3rd stage win for Tinkoff this season! Looking forward to the next three stages.

Not the best stage for Gesink. Bonus and on the road seconds for Trofimov plus bonus seconds for Phinney

Trofimov in beast mode. Congratulations, OlegTinkov!
Wonder how many seconds, if any, he needs to have back to riders like Phinney, Gesink and Ignatiev before the time trial if he's going to win this race.
And thanks for the report, cunego59! |

My puncheurs continues to disappoint me in their home terrain. Still time for massive improving though.

Well, Theo is now last. But remember the famous saying, if you ain't first you're last. Therefore, Theo Bos is now equal 2nd in GC.
Nice work Theo!

A nice aggressive 5th for Gastauer, and a minute gained on many. Need some more time to ensure a Top 10 result after the TT though

Another very nice stage for LLS and it`s actually funny to see my team working at the front in a PT race.
But I need more gaps to stay in that position. Guys like Coppel, Ignatiev etc. mustn`t stay together with the stronger puncheurs need to get dropped a bit on the last stage I guess. A bit disappointed that an uphill finish after that stage did not lead to more selection and some gaps.
The ITT will show where LLS can potentially finish probably. Top5 would be excellent, top10 is more likely I guess with the stronger time trialists being with him.
Ignatiev again stealing some of my needed points I am afraid.
And congrats to Trofimov. Good to see him without an injury after the crash.

Interesting stage! Not sure Gastauer has done enough for a Top 10 but breakaway involvement puts Hofland into the Top 20 which would be great, and Swift is somehow still as high as 23rd!
Trofimov building a very handy time bonus lead. Would expect him to still lead after the TT although the lack of decisive stages does mean Ignatiev is still in the mix, alongside Phinney.

Gesink is aggressive which is good, but Tromifov is superior. Also, Robert might want to stop sprinting backwards!

Great to finally see one of our riders in the breakaway after not being able to get into it neither here or in Paris-Nice
And well done to Dyrnes for fighting on and finish on the same time as the best puncheurs except Trofimov.
And speaking of Trofimov, his lead suddenly looks solid. It will be interesting to see if Phinney, Ignatiev and Gesink are able to get within striking distance before the final stage. |

Nice try from David Boily there and 22 in the GC is pretty good. I can only hope he continues to try. We have several decent puncheurs that can hopefully attack on the remaining stages to get us atleast something from the race.

Nice try König, great to see he finished with all leaders. He should do allright in TT, so hopefully he will be still around that overall 15th place before the last stage and that's quite good position to be in considering he is better climber than a puncheur!

Lutsenko doing really well here but I really have to question why I put Bernard Kohl in this...

Pleased with Phinney so far, positioning himself well for a podium. Trofimov's gap seems to big to me, but if he can hold off Ignatiev and build enough of a gap to stay clear of the rest in the final stage i'll be quite happy.

I have mixed feelings from this stage. Indeed, 2nd place for Roche is great. On the other side, this stage had to be AT LEAST A LITTLE selective, imo. Now I can only hope that climbing ability will have significant impact in upcoming TT...

Trofimov is very likely to win this at this point. However the gaps in the rest of the top10 are pretty narrow, which leaves space for many alterations in the TT tomorrow.
