Criterium du Dauphine Libere Discussion

Stage 5: Nice ride by Galta, everyone in the front group. Happy with that.

Stage 6: Honestly don't think this could have gone any better for us than it did, which is a little scary. Galta always seems to have a knack for utilizing his energy most efficiently, and he did it here to the tune of a podium finish. Now 4th overall. If he can stay int he top 5 I'll be happy.

Think the bigger boon for us is actually Gregaard, who put in a phenomenal ride to finish in the top 10 on the stage and move up to 13th overall. Seeing him lead the group of favorites in a line before the big attacks took off. There was just something good about it. It reminded me of classic mountain stages in a weird way that I can't explain. Just very satisfying.

Skjelmose staying 17th overall and in white is also great, though I fear he's at risk of losing that on the last day. We can only cross our fingers!

And the teams classification! Would like to hold onto that too.

Can't say I enjoyed the second half of the race as much as the first half, but thanks for the reports KB Grin
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Oh Cattaneo completed imploded here. He's no longer suited for leadership. Luckily Dall'Oste salvages some extra points with a KoM effort.

Thanks for the reports kandesbunzler26 and congrats ryant!

There wasn't much going for us in the first 5 days of the race here but the Mountains brought the action!

Shikai a little disappointing on Stage 6 to be 8th on the stage and then 6th in the GC. But he clearly looked stronger in the final stage and, although no good stage position given the breakaway riders presence, he managed to move up a place to 5th which is a pretty strong result for us!

Conci looked good throughout the race but battled a bit in the big mountains to drop from 10th to 19th but still some solid scoring points for him too.

Morton losing it on the final stage here would have been a disaster given his antics so it's good to see he held on but Eastman certainly put up a fight today.

Congrats to all managers who had success here and thank you for the great reports!!

Obviously great last stage for our team, sending our top3 riders was a very bold move (don't think I ever seen that before) and it payed off big time.

Also the reports were very good kandesbunzler, you are really good in reporting the essentials and making great pictures along the way too!

Huge race for us! Galta really justifying his spot once again. He just always overperforms on these grueling mountain top finishes. Bides his time and outlasts people. Very different style than Guldhammer, my last GC guy, but really fun to see on these types of stages. Sad that he declines after this year. 3rd overall and his stage results is basically an ideal result from him.

Depth wise, our secondary climbers seemed a bit tired today and slipped a little in the GC (and teams), but Skjelmose keeping and taking home white more than makes up for it. Hopefuly he has a lot more of those coming in the next year!

Thanks you for the phenomenal reports kb! I have to second Oleg's compliments, both the detail and pictures are awesome.

Another weak last stage from Olivier after something similar happened in Colombia. Carcueva's exploits in the break and his move up the GC actually means we increase our points tally for the race, so I'm not complaining too much!

Third 6th place finish for Olivier out of three PTHC races attended is great consistency. With the stage win, other stage results and classification points, this was a huge points haul.for us.

Congrats to Ryan. Great attempt by Eastman on the last stage. Solid second for him and Oxxo. Thanks for the great reports kb Smile

That was probably the best stage Eastman had for us this season, a fitting goodbye to the team from him! Would have been amazing to win the GC, but second is more than good enough and a very solid result. A shame the final breakaway riders couldn't be caught for the stage win of course.

Hoped for Aular to be a bit higher in GC in the end, and same for Lopez Nolasco definitely as well. Other teams with weaker climbing domestiques seem to know how to get those depth results better than us, so we'll work on that during the off-season in our hyper secret training camps in the Peruvian mountains.

Thank you for seven fantastic reports again, kb!

Wow, didn’t expect that one. With Min and Bouchard in the break, we jumped to 21th, 25th GC and 2nd in KOM. That should get us some decent points Smile

Congrats to Ryan, and Nemo for keeping it a close fight.
Thanks to KB for the reports, great job mate! Grin

This went much better than expected. Kaczmarek even in yellow jersey at a time and Gebremedhins two breakaway efforts leading to him climbing to 11th GC.

Awesome race!

And again, thanks for the phenomenal reporting kandesbunzler! Smile
