Like a boss. Really was afraid of that stage in case he got dropped if De Bie had waited. But great team performance and brilliant end, waiting until the perfect moment.
Feel sorry for cio as Demare should have been up there today. Same with VdLijke.
Now in the tt hopefully Swift is losing the lead as I don't want De Bie to even consider dropping back in the hills afterwards...which is always a small gamble. |

Grosu seemed to be in a great position. Too bad he missed out on another potential podium. Good to see the team active in breakaways as well.

Sucks a lot for Puma. This was a Demare stage if I've ever seen one ...

Reimer did a nice job leading out Swift and his teammate to the win
But 2nd is very good by Ahlstrand even if it looked like a win for a while.
Imagine Reimer and AKA leading out perfect then Im sure Ahlstrand would take the win |

Good that there were no gaps. Aegon on a roll, gratz.

Yes. It sucks when the AI denies your logic (Demare).
Better try from Saber and good to see two rather late starters with Bobridge and Oram in the TT. Maybe Oram can somehow upset Coppel obviously Bobridge is more important, so please don't let me down like Morton does!

Decent enough for Vanderbiest, and Lutsyshyn showing why I call him mini-Bos...

Thanks everybody. Didn't expect you all to sympathize.
At least Herklotz overperforms in TA.
I'm not worried about the lost points here, but much more about what this might mean for MSR as it is a Top 3 goal, and about my future plans for Demare if 80 sprint seems to not guarantee you favorable AI treatment even when the game recognizes you as three-star favorite.

PCM's having a bad week.
Really feel for Cio, that was Demare's stage.
Congrats on the double though Roturn, Swift is a beast! Good to see Ahlstrand on a good day too.

Great job Ponzi. Got my hopes up for a gap there but still a promising sign for things to come.
After a year of dissapointments having Kump last year I know how devasting this tailor made finishes for the hilly sprinters are.

Exact same situation for Van der Lijke as Demare, 80 sprint and strong in the hills, can't say the outcome was unexpected. Hurts more for Van der Lijke, as Demare could still feature in the hill-rated stages.

Well done Bouglas! Nice to be on the offense for a change. Taramarcaz and Bouglas securing 12 points (Bouglas will lead KOM after TT also) that we did not calculate on getting, leaving som leeway for a mistake here and there (like including Coquard).
Looks like Vlatos isn't badly injured. I hope for a stage podium by him.

Swift again denying the opposition. Aegon's definitely tuned up for February. Congrats roturn!
Hard to ignore Demare's absence indeed. Degenkolb also struggling to get in the mix for stage victories.
Time for the race against the clock. It could be a good day for Reis.

A pity to see Kristoff not able to follow up on the promising stage 1, as he seemed to miss out completely in the positioning here.
Swift really is the boss of the sprints so far this season, even with Bewley claiming the overall in the Middle East. Congratulations again, roturn.
Very excited to see what the hills bring after a TT which admittedly comes with nothing in it for my team. Expect Bobridge and Trofimov to create significant time gaps there, which should put them in pole position for the GC starting the hills. |

I saw Bellis listed in the favourites there and laughed. So that result came as no surprise |

A good ITT for Trofimov would be nice to make up for Tirreno's/Kritskiy's failure/crash.

Very nice to see Howson all the way up in 2nd place. Expected win from Coppel, but certainly a good one nevertheless.

The win was a given with this pack, but Vlatos in 5th is not good enough. I could have accepted 3rd, but getting 5 points from him is worthless. He needs a serious step up, in order to match his paycheck.
Oh well. Two for two by Cooper atleast indicates that he is on his way to another good season. It will be interesting to see how the team tackles being in the lead while our real captain is far back.
