Very nice touch to the report, keeping the different overall battles between teams up to date.
What a ride by Champoussin. Maybe I should sell Formolo and give him more liberty in the hilly classics

Great report, with added tension regarding the standings. Loved it! That fight at the top could go down to anonymous depth points in Lombardia
For us, it was encouraging to see us do work in the Peloton, but super disappointing to see other teams not care much. Suspect both MAL and Areruya to be on poor daily forms. Valter looked strong too, following MAL’s attack, but a love top 10 finish wasn’t quite what we hoped for here. Fingers crossed a not so great result here bodes well for the final race and monument of the season! |

First of all thank you for the great report, jt, and for keeping eyes on all fronts all the time
Sadly for us it's a masterclass in making every race worse than the previous one Incredible how we have had so many chances to score well, and basically always end up disappointing and scoring next to nothing, definitely when way worse riders find a way to score more time after time. Really only needed to be 'lucky' in one race to be safe by now, but now it will all be decided in the final race. Normally, we should be able to stay ahead of the teams behind us. But normally, we also shouldn't be in that position by far anyway, so we'll have to wait and see.
Congratulations on the superb win, whitejersey!

Awful, plain awful. Can't make any sense of this result tbh. No clue what mattered here in the end. Can't be climbing with Meurisse winning. Can't be hills, either, with Meurisse winning. And Areruya barely getting a Top 15. Really weird outcome.
Congrats to Specialized, thanks for the report. Didn't enjoy it, but not your fault.

Thanks for both the report and preview, I am mid move atm so I end up missing some things here and there, both were absolutely wonderful! :/
Absolutely wonderful race from Xandro a shame that this is likely going to be his last hoorah with the team due to his first decline coming at the end of the season, his allround skill set will be impossible to replicate and replace in the current db sadly.

Haha nice surprise win by Meurisse. Congrats whitejersey!
Interesting how a bunch of second rate hybrids managed to surprise the favourites.
The report was well done indeed.
Lutsenko repeats his fumble from last year. I was going to blame his mediocre 73/73 MO and RES combination, but todays winner has 74/74. So it's probably also just a lack of daily form two years in a row.
Despite the failure, I have to give him credit for sticking to Skujins like glue. The damage done here is very limited and it sets up a thrilling title decider in the last race.
I'm glad I didn't take the Lutsenko gamble in Lombardia like I did here. We're going to Italy with a full climbing squad. Very curious who Tinkoff have decided to field.

Thanks for the report, a thrill to follow!
Good race by Gaudu and very nice to see him being so aggressive. 11th does 't make a season, but by far the best I've seen from him this season. Maybe enough to get a new contract ...
Congrats on the win, wj!

Big surprise here by the 2nd tier. Meurisse always a nice winner though.
Vansevenant again one of the better riders, unfortunately 7th instead of 2nd due to 2nd group only.
More than a solid first maxed out season though.
Thanks for the covering, was interesting read with all those split overviews and division fights covered. |

It's pretty weird we are still in this title fight, because since the Tour we have been under performing big time: Deutschland, Midlands, Ras, ToNE and Battenkill were all really bad. Funny to see Gazelle is also trying to not win the title , so we still have a shot at Lombardia I guess, Dombrowski normally beats Sivakov and also our depth is great but you never know. Amazing report jt!

Meurisse again. What a season, congrats wj!
Brilliant report, thanks so much for all the rankings' insights. It really became quite immersive.
Good race for Stannard. Can't complain about his behaviour, but it is our 3rd (4th if we're being realistic) missed goal of the season now.
