Lol @ no gaps.

Solid ride by Pedersen and the rest of the team. More of that, and hopefully more selective racing, tomorrow.

Nice win for Lierse, congrats!

A whole lot of nothing in the end.

Good to see Gerts on the attack, but that could have backfired. Luckly there were no time gaps in the end, which should no longer be in the case in the second stage.

Judgement day tomorrow I guess, not filled with confidence. Thanks for the report!

No gaps is certainly ... interesting.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Lucky to see no time gaps, given how passive Wisniowski was! Cool to see Anderberg on the move, though, not quite making it count, as they got caught.

Interesting, and also kind of realistic scenario, I'd argue with such a class cobbler like Gamper and others going into the breakaway. That's the way to put pressure on the GC favourites' teams, and they certainly did.

Fingers crossed Wisniowski joins the action on the final stage, which looks to have every ingredient to be very selective, seeing the amount of cobbles coded kilometers on the stage.

Really nice screenshots, especially the finish photos with Tissot as the official "timekeeper" of the ManGame!

Now that was a proper cobbled race. Can't blame Gerts for not being able to hang around with that crowd until the end. Fourth is a good result for us here.

Thanks for the reports!

Congrats to ember! Simply untouchable this year in all respects.

But obviously super happy with our performance as well! Second on the stage and GC is a terrific result. He was aggressive from the start and just barely lost it in the end, but Wisniowski is the stronger rider and deserved to crack him there. Meanwhile, Per has taken his training and turned it into a phenomenal display of consistency all year. Another ~170 points from him here, and every single one counts in our fight against relegation. He has become everything our team has always wanted.

Once again depth fails us a bit, but can't really complain about that when Per is so good at his job.

Thanks for the phenomenal report kandes! Superb read all the way through. Also nice to see the selectivity and just pure cobbles strength coming to the fore at the end.

Congrats to ember massive race once again for your lot! Also nice to see Mads P get a third.

10th in the GC and solid depth scoring somewhere above 100 points if I have done my math correctly, we take those for sure!

Thanks for two good reports kb!

Unstoppable! Once again, huge congrats to ember on yet another win - Wisniowski just moves on and on and on...
Great to see Pedersen at least getting a podium here - plus the points jersey, which could even see him outscore Per. Who also did an amazing job for Carlsberg of course, just like Gerts for Rabobank.
And also really happy to see Spengler being among the high scorers here - for once, pure cobbles skill definitely was important. Great race for UBS, which hopefully puts them clear from relegation danger for a while!
Also kudos to Stallaert, who knows what could have been without that stupid puncture... Really nice comeback to finish 8th.

Also well done to Laurens for the preview - you got the Top 4 exactly right Wink And fortunately you weren't right about Spengler Pfft
Thanks to kb for the nice reports Smile

Just my 2 cents about UU's point concerning the scoring: I'm also not in favour of 2-day stage races, they really distort the points (even 3 days are arguably too short, but no need to discuss that here). Compared to a PTHC classic - which also costs 2 RD - it's the double amount of points distributed here, which imho is pretty insane. But congrats to those who targetted this race and got what they were hoping for, you were smarter than me Pfft

Big win! Grin

Wisniowski with a perfect race and performance. Thought Per looked very promising out solo in front, but luckily Wisniowski timed his efforts even better. Great to run away with the stage and GC win.

A bit disappointed in Anderberg and also our depth, but we're not in a position to be very vocal about it, seeing the way Wisniowski won it all Grin Pfft

Would of course have liked to take the win, but two times 3rd on the stages, 3rd in GC, points jersey and 2nd in the team classification makes it a good race overall for us. Also Tiller with a better than performance than we've seen most of the season in 15th.

Got my hopes up when Pedersen managed to bridge, but understandably that he ran a little short in the end after that chase. Also glad the gaps were big enough that the no gaps on the first stage didn't matter.

Congrats to ember on yet another win. Looking better for that title race by race now Wink

We went as well as expected  good to see Yates in the break both days. Could have definitely been a worse race for us!

Nemolito
Congratulations ember!

Hoped for a bit better than 10th, but it's still an okay result, just a shame that we get dropped to 11th because of the s.t.'s on both stages. Ulloa in 29th is not amazing but adds some points at least. Hollmann with a nice try in the break again, I'm sure his manager Ezee will be glad to see him so active at the highest level Smile

Thanks for the very fine reports, kandesbunzler!

I said I'd be content with anything in the Top 10 and an 8th place is fine in that regard, but somehow I'd be more okay with it if Stallaert simply was the 8th best rider rather than mounting a comeback following a puncture. Now I'm just left wondering what could've been Grin But still, 8th is fine in the end, and Okbamariam and Teggart chip in a few points too in 30th and 46th place. Might've been Okbamariam's best outing at this high a level this year, so kudos to him.

Kudos also to Wisniowski, congrats ember, and that's a very nice podium with Per and Pedersen. Thanks for the very nice reports kb, too. And finally, while I can't fully speak to if a two day cobbles stage race has a place on the calendar, that second stage was pretty great, so at least that part was a success imo, thank you Ulrich for that!

Forgetting we're in this race: Frown
Kanter sprinting well on stage 1: Grin
It's not for the win: Frown
Rutsch wins the U25 jersey: Grin
He's not even in the Top 40 overall, and Meiler wasn't much better: Frown

I'll take the few measly points and particularly the jersey milestone, but there certainly was more in this.

No idea who's gonna stop Aker from winning the PT now, what a performance so far! Congrats ember.
Pfft

And thank you kb for your reporting!

Congrats ember. Currently looking unbeatable. Wish youd leave the rest of us with a shot for some victories too Pfft
