Somehow totally missed that I was in this race, had it as HC,C1,C2 kind of race in my memory.

When reading and early on seeing Eeckhout in the break though, I was positively surprised.

Unfortunately Van Hooydonck was in that one split of top riders and only could go for the places of the 2nd group. 14th still isn`t too bad when seeing, he overperformed a bit in the previous races. His average is still very decent.

Plus the depth is nice again as well, not as good to support him, where I think Eeckhout in the break might have been the wrong decision but all support riders got themselves in very decent depth positions.

Van der Hoorn lacking a lot due to the change of role this year. Last year a regular top20-30 rider, now only the 4th best cobbler in the team and often finding himself around 50-60 only, which is fine though as I guess he has to work a lot more with Vermeersch and Eeckhout having more of a free role now.

Congrats alex, Gerts is a cool rider and now also got a nice win against top competition.
