A very good race for us. Vlatos doing what was supposed of him, and beating a similar rider with 1 second is obviously very nice.
Zoidl with the first respectable result all season to pick up 19 points while Ioannidis just scrape through in 50th to take 10 rather than 5 points.
Vlatos seemed to have a horrible season before the Tour, but taking the stagewin on stage 1 + yellow and now 4th here catapult him into a higher pointscoring than expected.

5th is just about acceptable considering the field here, even if I hoped for a little more and we narrowly missed out on 4th. Van Baarle did well to gain places and finish 14th which adds some more welcome points at this time of year.
Not great but not terrible, thanks for the report Marco!

Frison with a bad 1st day but better on the second moving past Boom in the team intern order, which was expected. Later with a solid result though.
And I didn`t know Ballerini was that bad in TTs, likely was a xp thing to take him here without any good options anyway. At least that gave him more TV time than expected.
Thanks for the result and congrats to Phinney...after day1 it was close to a potential "shocker". |

Come on Phinney, we need the win if we wanna try to attack Evonik at some point! Thanks for the great preview
Death, taxes and Phinney winning this...
Between this and Lopez failing in Slovenia, you definitely used the chance to attack the rankings. Congrats!

At first I didn't get it, but it's two days of course (can someone remind me why it became two days again!?). Very good ride by all of my riders: Yatsevich, Malori and Vorobev -> 8th, 10th and 16th is a good point scoring race. Thanks for the in hindsight very logical report Marcovdw
