A good result but disappointed to see Grosu missing out on a season goal here. Perhaps a helping hand from Gerts would have changed something.

6th place is not half bad at all! Judging by the images of the finish perhaps it should have bee higher but honestly i'm still way ahead of my expectation for this race!

Our team really did not show up here with not a single rider in the top 50.
Guess they were badly postitioned, because guys like Ginanni and Formolo should easily be able to stay with the main group on such a hill.
Impressive solo victory by EBH; grats CT. I always like it when an attacker surprises the sprinters.

Interesting move with Watson as part of the early breakaway. Given his results, when he leads our team, it was probably the right move, even though we ended up with no rider inside the Top-90 this was to expected however, so showing our colors with two riders in the break was good enough.

EBH Masterclass. Always love seeing a group of flat beasts try their luck in a finale, always makes things more interesting. A shame Ji couldn’t make anything out of it and Kristoff did absolutely nothing. Oh well. Thanks for the report!

FINALLY!
After chasing this podium for a few years now (with Demare, we've already been there with Bennati before) and just falling short in 6th and 4th in those editions, training and persistence finally paid off.
First of all, massive congratulations to CT for that great EBH solo ride, the first successful one since 2011.
This surely manifests your position as a top team by the end of the season, a deserved spot considering your roster, and especially as it has been compiled with usually very little time during recent transfer seasons.
As for that sprint, I absolutely had written off any podium chances with 500 metres to go, in particular as Demare (again here!) wasn't able to fully get into the slipstream of the leading riders.
But on that last stretch, I'd like to believe the 80HIL really mattered to charge and pass the fading guys ahead and keep most challengers (and MVS, but we don't really call him a challenger anymore now ) behind. What a sprint!
On the other hand, I must say I have to be disappointed by how the rest of the team finished here.
We did help Demare achieve the main goal, but with a lineup consisting entirely of 70+hil&70+spr riders, with a few great puncheurs among them, it should be unacceptable to not add any points beyond that 3rd, and it's downright atrocious to not have a single further rider in the Top 150?!?!?
But, in comparison to an achieved goal and a monument podium, we can afford to not spend too much time on that.
Last but not least, thank you very much Kentaurus for a really great report (high end graphics too!) that definitely did a monument justice.

Good to see Groselj get in the breakaway, probably the highlight of our race. No real result to speak of, but it was never on the cards anyway. Experience was gained.
Congrats to Crue True on the awesome win

Both Samolenkov and Kolesnikov finishing in the 1st group and at least fighting for a podium spot is pretty good.

YEEEES! What a win by EBH! Massive. And what a way to do it - loved that solo ride, loved the attacks.
I really enjoyed the report format too, Kentauraus. The KM indicator for each paragraph worked really well in terms of giving the reader - or at least me - a better overview.
Thanks for the positive messages, everyone. |

Great win by ebh!
About what I could expect, always a longshot to send TVG here, but worth trying when we totally lack sprinters
