Annoying break win once more.
Shouldn't happen in a race like this with so many elite sprinters. |

That’s a kick in the dick, breakaway win with a rider who falls out in the final kilometre. Good effort nonetheless. Congrats to the winning team also, Ole repeating his heroics from the tdf is pretty great!
Thanks for the report

Freaky to see Braico in ToNE and now Olson both repeating TDF heroics from breakaways

Quite a bad race for my team.
2nd, 6th, 7th, 4th on the sprinter stages but with Swift I had expected more regular podiums or a win at least.
Without GC points, this is too less stage big points really.
Thanks for the reports and congrats to the winning teams. |

Better than nothing I guess, but should have gotten better GC and better stage results, so overall it has been dissapointing.

Had very low expectations here, so Boaro grabbing 15th in GC and Fejes 2nd in KoM is actually a nice surprise.

Moser 4th and 7th in two of the sprinting stages is acceptable given the strength of the field here.
Cornu 7th in the GC is also acceptable and keeps the points ticking over although I think I needed a miracle here to keep my survival hopes alive which I didn't get.

Very disappointing home race for Kraftwerk, Schädlich blowing his GC place on the wrong side of a split in stage 5 was very careless.
Thanks for the reporting Vien.

Great to get one race win from this race, 10th place in the GC and Youth Classification (our first ever Youth Classification win) is solid. Just wish we were more lucky with our positioning in the first sprint stages, as I feel like we could've gotten into the Top 3 in the Point Standings. So overall a good race for us

Wow, great and surprising ride by Kwok! Kennaugh messed up in a few sprints, but we can definitely live with the results here. |

Our home race has historically been of particular importance for Puma, but with the route change this season, all hopes for decent points lie with Sütterlin.
He's known to have extreme performance swings in important TTs, so the hope was to channel one of his better days and take a decent GC result from this. Furthermore, the lack of any top sprinter in our lineup should encourage attacks from our lesser riders to gain KoM points and sponsor exposure.
And yet again Sütterlin shows one of his mood swings, and that's on stage 1 already! Massive disappointment as he's not supposed to be just a TTT rider for us. His roster spot is pretty much save for a long time, but that doesn't mean you can stop trying...
Even worse, FOURTIETH IN THE TT?!? Holy shit I thought we had gotten rid of injuries. A crazy off-week, and luckily it comes in a season where we can handle those.
At least Sagiv and Wackermann achieve our secondary goal of going for KoM points, and do an exceptional job regarding that even. Such a good job that even the reporter has been bamboozled?
Sagiv even goes beyond the plan on stage 4 for an amazing second place!
I really liked his profile before transfers, and with two levels still to gain, his rouleur skills will improve even more and should give him more stage win opportunities down the road.
Sadly, the stage race AI seems to clearly differentiate between GTs and short races, since it's a mystery how Nerz attacks on every single TdF stage he has the KoM jersey in, while Wackermann can't be bothered at all to attempt to defend his jersey on the last stage here.
Still, we didn't come with any expectations regarding that classification, so we'll gladly take the tied 2nd and the 5th place there from our support riders, as well as tied 8th in the sprint jersey by our Israeli.
It doesn't offset the massive points loss by Sütterlin, but I did prefer our active riding on home soil over an anonymous 9th or so in the GC with a regular race.
Congrats to Coppel and to Degenkolb, who I both enjoy seeing do well in PCT.
And Vien back at reporting was fun too!
