Durbridge
Certainly had hoped for more than a 5th place in the prologue. Hepburn again better than Durbo. No good news for our best TT guy. What a disappointing season he has so far. Morton did okay, I guess. Great win for Wiesenhof.

No pink for Stoltz
Now its time for Siskevicius and breaks to get sth out of this for the next few stages.

Had hope for a bit better by Haugard. But we was never going to get a great result in stage one.
Abal gaining some seconds on his opponents which is good.
Now time for Ahlstrand and his leadout to deliver |

Van Baarle saves the day. Somewhat. Coquard will take the jersey tomorrow so this stage was worth a whopping 6 points.
Sütterlin was atrocious already, but Bongiorno takes the cake.
32nd to last. With 68PRL. I was certain I've missed him scrolling through the result. 20 seconds lost to similar riders in 7km.
I just hope that doesn't matter in the end and we got the one -5 day out of the way already.
The last few races really made me hate this game so Ciolek to the rescue please!

Great preview SN!
This startlist is much weaker than I expected. Shame I didn't send Madrazo here like last year.
Don't expect a whole lot from the guys I did send to Italy. But Formolo, Kruijswijk and Sosnitskiy are decent climbers who can at least score some points. Really hope one of my riders goes for the KoM jersey as well.

Damn it, so close for Danacik...but exactly what Wiesenhof needs to start the race, congrats!

Oh, wow. Day form in a time trial does some beautiful things sometimes, Danacik faster than Fiedler.
2nd place for Danacik is just an incredible result, Too bad Cattaneo was able to beat Danacik, as he surely won't ever be this close to a win in a PT time trial. Still, big congrats to our friends in Wiesenhof, a perfect start for their local star.
Also a decent start for Velits. 2nd place between GC riders, way to go.

Congratulations, Heine. Promising start to what could be a really good Giro.
Another missed opportunity for us in a TT. I doubt we'll get many more chances like this one. Reis with a bigger loss than unexpected too.
Classy report with wonderful scenery!

Brilliat preview of the race, both route wise and riders wise! The start list actually gives Galta a shot at a top 10, which would be amazing. Hopefully he's ready to fight for it, as this seems like a very good chance at what could be his best ever GT result even when his career is over
The list of sprinters is a bit more worrying for our chances, as Holst Enger will most likely struggle to fight for podiums or even stage wins in such a field. Though, he has proven before that he's well suited for GTs, and hopefully he can prove it again here. It's especially the flat stages in week 2 and 3 I've high hopes for, for him.
Other than our two obvious leaders here, I definitely hope to see us join the breakaway fun when we hit the mountains. Nesset and Laengen could both be dangerous riders if they try it out, but it will be interesting to see if AI allows it.
For stage 1, what a way to start the race for Wiesenhof and Heine, congratulations! Also probably just what the doctor ordered considering the rankings.
Nice to see Stake Laengen up there. Not quite enough for a top 10, but that would be a surprise, and a 13th place is good nevertheless. Also a pretty good ride from Galta only loosing 21 seconds. Hopefully that helps him to be well positioned in the upcoming flat stages.
And thank you for running the show, SN! |

Anonymous first stage from our team, let's hope this will change during the rest of the race.

Our first GT woohoo. Since Strava has zero decent climbers, Guarnieri was always the man for the Giro. I hope for 1-2 stage wins, perhaps a shot at the points jersey and some breakaways. Prologue was already okayish by Guarnieri.
GC wise I would have hoped for a way stronger startlist, it reminds me of the Giro 17 in ICL which was super one-sided. This is rather underwhelming for the hardest race in the most beautiful country (copyright RCS). Surely some teams will get heavy PdD ratio at this race, looking particularly great for my mates over at Hugo Boss.

I'm just smiling
Great result for Mattia, I had a hope but that was a small one, much better than any expectation I've had!
Will prolly loose the jersey already on the next stage, but happy none the less.

Well I guess this is a good sign of what is to come from Moser, when getting these kind of results aswell...
Bryan Coquard with a pretty good result. Too bad he couldn't take the U25 jersey for a while here. Now I need a good sprint from him to get as many points away from the race as possible. Some top 3s are needed and preferably a stagewin aswell. Not likely though.
Congrats to Heine for Cattaneo's result here. I really wanted Lecuisinier here, too bad it didn't fit the general plan of the season. Hopefully it won't be the deciding factor, although it very well could be.

A decent start to Grosu's campaign, I'd say.
It looks like Sinkeldam picked up an injury. Hopefully the same did not happen to Brambilla.

Yeah right. Of course.
Ahlstrand maybe protects Abal on every flat stage?
Congrats roturn! |

Perfect position, shitty sprint. I hope I can blame it on the late hill. Still very underwhelming.

Congrats roturn!
Definitely a very promising start for Moser with Coquard failing today.

Nice first PT stage win by Groenewegen. Was actually imagine this when seeing he is +22...unlucky in this part but better than expected anyway.
Craddock injured would be bad ahead of the TTT. then again better chances for Olivier to not lose time there behind the team. |
