From the relegation battle to the top (part) of the standings? This is the 2014 season all over again for us.
Jk, the downfall back to the middle of the pack and beyond is coming quickly with how close everybody is in points so far. We need a handful of more fluked results like in Grand Duche to contend for a Top 5.
Very pleased though to see our points spread out between multiple riders. Egoitz Garcia already has more points than Sergio Barrio and Ruben Plaza had combined last year, so I'll chalk that down to good managing lol
TVG is Mr. Consistent. He takes 3rd at Badaling and 2nd Grand Duche in back-to-back seasons, quite a crazy stat considering he isn't a "elite" punchuer stat wise.
Altur improved in the classics over last season. Warbasse looked strong at P-N, Abal not so much but his 13th is way better than Ratiy's 27th at T-A last year.
So far, so good. Keep it going boys. Thanks for the update!
First of all, thanks for the update. Was a very pleasant surprise for my lunch break but waited till now to make a proper post about it.
First of all, there is a little mistake as Gazelle was not the first rankings leader as Badaling took place a few hours after Down Under Classic
Rankings are superb for my Evonik pass and while I hoped to be top 5 after MSR, it is awesome to see the confirmation for it.
As in every season my team was touted to be hugely depending on strong leaders and with Van Avermaet & Skujins in the top 15 individual rankings they delivered so far and I hope that VS will improve as well.
But the rest of the team (especially Siskevicius, Koch and Chavanne) also being in some valuable points which is very helpful to say the least.
Team Bewley and Vesuvio already at or nearthe too is no surprise as they are the ones who should be there at the end of the year.
Puma stands out from the rest of the promoted teams with 4 of them on relegation spots which I don't really like as I like many of them.
Metinvest as last right now but of course, it can be expected that they climb a fair bit as long as Pluchkin doesn't crash.
Ginanni overperformed, Madrazo underperformed and we're pretty much in the spot we're aiming for at the end of the season: mid-table. So far so good. But the Madrazo thing is obviously a bit of a worry.
As ever early rankings can be misleading before people whip out their big weapons and blow their motherload on the GT's.
Still plenty of decent thrusts from the relegation favourites. Fairly satisfied with netting nearly 1000 points gotta keep at least fellow bottom feeders like Kenya and Greg behind us.
As others have noted, it's still early and very close in the rankings, so a lot can happen from here.
Can't be too disappointed with 15th (despite the stats saying we have the 3rd best team ), just not our terrain yet. I have hopes of a bit more once we get going with the not so hilly races
