Here's the route for the Omloop Het Volk:

Stage 1 is the standard Het Nieuwsblad route. Stage 2 is 90% based on this year's Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne route, but with added Muur d'Geraardsbergen and Bosberg (ridden twice during the first half of the race). And the cobbled TTT puts the Haaghoek sector on centre stage for an intriguing finale.

That quite long cobbled TTT looks really tricky. Would be interesting how PT teams will deal with it

Yay, into the our first PT season and it seems like we will have to come with loosers to all that cobbled races, maybe hilly too depending on transfers.
Shame that Catalunya was moved to PCT, given that Ignatiev was on the podium there in our PT wildcard last season.
Looking foward to exact profiles. That TTT cobbled stage is interesting, but very bugged thing in every recent PCM.

Looks like an interesting race Might have to try to get someone to check how TT/Cobble stat works on a stage like that

Kritskiy's favourite race (Tour of Romandie) and Trofimov's favourite race (Volta Ciclista a Catalunya) gone... hopefully they will remember this during contract renewals!

Another route I'm going to reveal is the Tour of Northern Europe:

Three new countries for the race this year as the race begins in Ireland. First in the North for a TTT around Belfast, before making it's way to the Republic of Ireland for a finish in Dublin. The middle section remains unchanged with French cobbles, Belgian hills and a Dutch time trial. The Scandinavian finale for the race this year contains one stage in Denmark, and two in Norway. It's the first TONE appeareance for Norway, to make up for the downgrading of the Tour of Norway this season.

TONE without cobbles Looks like an interesting race, might be perfect for riders like Coppel and Ignatiev. Depends on hos hard the puncheurs will ride stage 4 and 6. Might send Brändle there and see if he can get a nice result

@heine: you need your eyes testing old man... I can see plenty of the old grey on stage 3
The TTT though will be an interesting one. Certainly gives Fab a chance of a high transfer value for any interested PT team. A slight question in my mind whether I should let him go, but three seasons is surely too long for any cyclist to put up with me!

I had the opposite form of shock, like "Yeah, finally a stage race for TTbeasts in the PT", just to realize that there are cobbles in stage3 and i will have to look elsewhere to find well suited race for my leader.
In the end i will have to send him here anyway, to try and get some nice stage results and hoping for miraculous holding with the pack during cobbled stage.
I would keep Fab if i was you Smowz, just because races like this one. Or sell him to PCT together with Coppel, right?

Cool to see Ireland included in ToNE. As usual a very nice looking profile where one really can't tell who is the biggest favourite. One would assume the cobble stat will play a major part considering the order the key stages come in. Could mean a higher interest in cobblers this transfer season when you also take the look of Omloop Het Volk into consideration. Interesting! |

Too bad both Posthuma and De Kort are declining. With them in their prime and with a freshly maxed-out Walsleben, that TTT in Het Volk (I want naming rights, btw) would have been really interesting for my team.
Also, it's a shame Sinkeldam won't get the opportunity to defend his title in Gent - Wevelgem but I'm really looking forward to this new format of the calendar.
