Giro d'Italia Discussion

Groenewegen having reached the elite sprinter level now I guess. Very nice to see him win again. Impressive to see from how far behind he actually came on the final kilometer. For a moment I thought he looked blocked.

Less nice to see Olivier with yet another crash...new Gesink?
Coming in at 45th at least gives me hope of no injury but still annoying. Also Craddock with the 2nd already.

Cioleks consistency is impressive. Probably would have had deserved to get the point Jersey at least.

So, so close. Gotta be happy with second place which I am, but again, no good result seems to come without some remorse over millimetres and milliseconds...

Congrats roturn, you got yourself a nice guy there.

It would be only fair for me to have him then Pfft

Some good results for Grosu although I'd love a stage win. It's great to finally see Van Poppel step up as a lead-out rider. If he had led Grosu out in the third stage instead of going for glory himself, I think Grosu would be in a comfortable lead in the points classification.

Three podiums in 4 sprint stages isn't that bad if I think about it actually Wink

Keep dreaming. Cool

I don't know if Guarnieri would have won if he wasn't boxed by Howard, but he had a real chance of winning i believe. And amazing performance from Groenewegen in the race, congrats roturn!

yes, he had a perfect position at flamme rouge. Ugh sprints are so frustrating.

That's why i don't have any sprinters, and also don't plan to have them in the near future

Congrats, roturn. Good to see Groenewegen taking a stage when Olivier keeps crashing like a Morton/Gesink.

Time for the real stages now. Fingers crossed.

Great report as always. Loved the sprinters overview of "consistency" Smile

Happy to see Vesely with another top 5 finish. Looks like it was a good decision to train him, looks capable of getting PT results now. Smile

Second that, I liked the table but surely did not like the fact in it Pfft

Another day in all those beautiful jerseys is sweet. I'll take it. Now for the next stage... I've heard that ugly M word already :/

Potts injured is a sad message. I hoped to see him continuing his amazing ride. He basically already has a top 5 KoM finish secured if he makes it till the end of the Giro. Keep on fighting Pottsy!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Another Groenewegen win after a few days in nowhere land, congratulations to roturn

Groenewegen: excellent form with 2 stage wins, congrats roturn.
Grosu: pretty consistent as well. Should be good for a stage win later in the race
Ciolek: I thuoght we jad combined our sprinters would suck, cio!
Guarnieri: ever promising, but yet to take the glory
Ahlstrand: Come on viking, get your man to race properly. Avelino needs a proper leadout Pfft
Howard: wtf?

Come on in mountains, the sprints are drunk.

What is wrong with Jonas Ahlstrand? :/

Löfkvist seems to be the weak link in Spotify's attempts to put up a train that works, as he has been struggling on both this stage and the previous. Hopefully Spotify sorts it out to give Ahlstrand a proper chance at proving himself.

At least Holst Enger is consistent, unfortunately placings around 10th isn't going to cut it in terms of points. Though, I can't complain, as he isn't much better looking at the actual stats. Worrying to see Galta down, a relief to see him finish with the peloton, and then there's the wrong kind of excitement for the next stage to see if he came away from it injured or not.

Congratulations, roturn! Groenewegen has certainly stepped up this season, which is very nice to see Smile

Not much to say from Tinkoff's point of view, too bad exTinkoffer Kolesnikov finished 2nd on stage 5, but Vosekalns' win was well-deserved.

Too bad we haven't gotten that Groenewegen "luck", but 4th is OK.

Now to hopefully get into some breakaways.

That's how I like it. What a stage! Dominant ride by Alarcon, hopefully Hugo Boss can continue to dominate the Giro after this stage. They have the support.
