Cycling Interviews

In our series of Cycling Interviews, you can still send in questions which you would like to have asked. This is your chance to ask André Greipel, Gerald Ciolek or Nicholas Roche what you've always wanted to ask. The deadline for most riders is this Wednesday, so don't hesitate to send in your questions!

Thread of the Week

Spain 1 - 5 The Netherlands. The World Cup Football has begun and we all know it. With an impressive victory over Spain, The Netherlands showed that they are World Champion contenders. The Thread of the Week is reserved for FIFA World Cup 2014.

ManGame: action on all kinds of terrain

The Giro del Trentino came to an end, in a thrilling final stage. Janez Brajkovic took the stage and the overall classification with an impressive late move.

Meanwhile Ramon Sinkeldam has successfully finished a 20 km solo in Gent - Wevelgem, taking the victory before Luke Rowe and Tom Boonen. Sinkeldam had the legs of his life, but no doubt profited from hesitation behind him. All that aside, it was a great day for him and Project 1t4i.

Story Spotlight: Hot Wheels - Porsche
Story News
What do you get when you cross a toy car company with an expensive automobile? Hot Wheels - Porsche by MrUfo87. It looked to be a failed idea from the start, but it has survived the ups and downs of story making for over a year now! Making it one of the last PCM11 stories to still be live and active.

From a young pathetic looking cycling team that found themselves being outmatched in every race to a group of guys that are constantly challenging for results, MrUfo87 is doing what every PCM player dreams of doing: taking a small development squad and turning them into the biggest team in the world.

Due to it’s longevity and rather limited following, Ian and I have decided to award Hot Wheels - Porsche and it’s creator MrUfo87 with the first complete Story Spotlight. Hopefully this brief overview will inspire you checkout the story for yourself. Click Read More to view the completed synopsis.
PCM14 Interview with Cycling Manager Italia
Pro Cycling Manager 2014

Cycling Manager Italia have conducted an interview with Cyanide about PCM 2014, with it's release now less than a week away. They asked questions about Career, Multiplayer and Gameplay, and you can read the full interview on their website.

A few of the questions cited examples of AI gameplay which Cyanide disagreed with, but some other questions did give some interesting answers:

  • For career transfers, you can now wait several days before making a choice, such as signing rider, to allow for simultaneous deals.
  • Automatic mode will be available in multiplayer - at least, unless it turns out that it is easier for players to gain Armada points by just using that mode, rather than actually playing.
  • Resistance stat has been fixed and will affect the yellow bar. A higher resistance means you can maintain a higher effort for a longer period of time.
  • The Stamina and Resistance stats will both be more affected by daily form this year. (Although the implication on Stamina is that it has no effect until after 200-220km, and of course, the majority of races in game are shorter than that).
  • The gameplay for cobbled and hill stages within stage races has been adjusted to make them more interesting and realistic.
Cycling Interviews
Interviews

As you might have read earlier, we(admins) have thought of something new to contribute to the site. The idea was actually from Rin, though.
PCMdaily will be interviewing cyclists and other people within the cycling world.
Of course we will ask the riders whether they have played PCM, but we also want some question input from you!

How exactly? Well, after recieving permission from the guys we want to interview, we will open a thread in the cycling section. Every PCMdaily member can think of questions to ask that specific rider.
You can post questions in the thread we opened, and we will pick the most interesting questions from the thread, and ask them. This should be around 10 questions, but it varies. Try to be creative, our intention is to ask questions that they haven't answered tons of times yet, we prefer 'unique' questions.

At this moment, we have already got permission for 6 interviews. We have already opened the threads for them.
The biggest name among them is, without a doubt, MSR winner
Gerald Ciolek, but Jempy Drucker, Andreas Stauff, Ryan Eastman and 'CORSO Sports Marketing'' leaders Joao Correia/Ken Sommer definitely deserve some of your time as well!

Don't wait too long though, you only have until next Wednesday to send in some questions!
