I decided to make a DB where riders are split up into teams by their nationality.
The biggest cycling nations will have teams with only domestic riders, but smaller nations will be put into teams consisting of riders from several nations.
Nations with more than 25 riders have more teams. For example, Italy has 9 teams. The best italian riders (based on stats average) will be put into Italy 1 and the worst riders into Italy 9.
These are the teams I've come up with:

The first release will be based on PPDB's DB v1f.
I have no current idea about the release date of this DB.

Sounds like a great idea! Might have to give Australia 1 a go when you release this considering there have been rumours here for a while about starting an all Aussie team |

How are you going to decide which teams are PT teams and which are continental? |

By the ingame team ranking. Best teams in the ProTour.

Well, just picked GBR, as I saw Bermuda has some relationships with GBR

Well, it would make a lot more sense for Bermuda to go with the rest of the world - there is no instance in any sport where a Bermudan would represent Britain (as far as Im aware).

Okay, Bermuda transfered to "Rest of World".
Found a mismatch at the number of riders from Latin America. I had set it to contain 25 riders, but there are only 16.
However, I forgot to add the extra Portuguese and Slovenian riders to the Rest of Europe number of riders.
Now all matches the total number of riders (1514) again.
The summary sheet in first post is now updated. |

Have you set all teams nationality value to 25, so that they will only sign riders from their own country in the future? Could be hard to do for multiple country teams. Also it could be wise to edit their scouting zones to correspond to the proper country(ies). |

Decided to merge the Japan team into "Rest of World" as it only had 10 riders, and there are no scouting zones with Japanese riders.
That'd mean the team would have problems after 2 retirements.

I actually forgot that Italy 1 has 27 riders. Fixed the list now. Petacchi just made the cut into the team.
Napolitano is only the 36th best italian rider.
