There are a few decent sprinters here - a surprise as this is the only flat road stage and those late climbs could hinder the sprinters.

A break went clear: Rooijackers, Vandewalle, Merino Criado, Jeannesson, Sarkisov, Kaisen, Perry, Glomser
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo2.jpg

Rooijackers is looking for the KoM jersey and is the only one to attack on the first climb
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo3.jpg

But the break are caught with 27km to go, before we got to the next 2 climbs - halting Rooijackers hopes

Weening takes climb 2 over Visconti and Calzati
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo5.jpg

Visconti takes the 3rd and with Calzati 2nd this time and Weening only 3rd, Visconti will take the jersey

Those who went for the pts are expected to drop back, so it is surprising when Haedo attacks up to them and then tries to go on alone when they all drop back. Wasted energy?
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo7.jpg

Closing in on the sprint theres another BMC rider on front, Tolleson
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo8.jpg

He zoomed past everyone, too fast for Haedo to latch on
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo9.jpg

He has a gap but cya-logic dictates he wont sprint and therefore be caught. Briggs and Traksel lead the battle behind
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo10.jpg

Traksel starts to move away from the Briton
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo11.jpg

Theres 5 riders in this! Hunter, Bewley, Traksel, Del Nero and Kunshin
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo12.jpg

Not your usual suspects but they found the right train as Bewley and Del Nero go head to head. Its gonna be close!
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/capo13.jpg

And he does it again! Yet another win for Continental Tour leader Kiwi Sam Bewley
