Can anyone please help me. Back from holiday, I finally get to buy PC09 in the cd-version.
But when I installed the game, and then launch it, the cyanidelogo appears, and then it just freezes. I've tried to reinstall, but it makes no difference. |

Could you give the specs of your computer.
Vista?
If so try to run administrator mod
(i had almost the same)

On your keyboard there is a magic key called "Esc" - use it when the white screen shows up - taht usually works.
If itdoesn't, try to put this file https://rapidshare.com/files/264089141.../Local.cdb into My Docs/PCM 09 folder and make sure you've got NET framework installed. Should help  |

vista has always .dot installed
and why would you wanna put a database file into your my docs folder when the problem is a start up problem

Sorry, didn;'t notice it was Vista. The uploaded file disables introduction movies and makes the game go straight to the menu from the Cyanide advert. I've had the same problem, using "Esc" always allowed me to go from the blank screen, but switching this file allowed me to forget about it and simply have the game opening up properly without using "Esc". |

Just delete the video files in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/Videos.
Don't need a new Local.cdb for that |
