Hi, i'm having quite the problem with my personal db. Hope there's help to find, even if only suggestions.
First of all, i chose to edit the YoungRiderCarac, as one of the issues i've had with the game was always young rider's inability to compete in even the worst of field's. Therefore i made them a little stronger from the get go.
Now, when starting a custom team, there was way less rider's to be scouted, say 8-10 in the whole of Germany. I figured out, that this was due to the STA_potential table. This table used to (in PCM08) determine when your scout was able to see your youngsters. In my game youngsters were "too good to be scouted", so I amended the table, so even better riders were detectable, and sure enough, now Germany was suddenly floating with young riders again.
So, I happily created my team, and noticed to my pleasure, that half the youngsters were Continental Tour level (avg 60-65). My work in the YoungRiderCarac had payed off. A couple of months in however, I notice something strange: I don't get any scout reports at all! I'm pretty sure it has to do with my changes in STA_potential, but changing it back merely results in very few young riders for my custom team, as explained. So really, if anyone has any suggestions as to how to correct this, i'd be happy to hear from you.
