Hi guys
I've started a career, played a couple of tours (loving the game honesty), then I closed the computer down, turned it on today and while I can load the saved career.... all it does is go day to day without letting me play any stages or simulate them or anything
Anyone have any advice?
Oh and I saw where it was saved, there is
Game_002.cdb
Game_002cbd~ (hope this aint a virus!!!)
Game_002.cdi
Not sure if that helps or has anything at all to do with it
Please help this newly addicted cycling fan |

Unfortunately, it's a common problem.
There's two possible solutions. First, try to rename the file called Game_002.cdb~ to Backup.cdb (it's a backup of your save game, not a virus ). Load it in-game and check if it works.
If it doesn't try this:
I asume that you play in full screen. So do it like this, start a new career and play some races. Then use Alt+Tab to leave the game. Go to the folder where the saves are and copy your save to some other place. Then go back to the game and quit the game. Now rename the file you just copied and put it back into the folder. Start the game again and load the save you just renamed. Does it work, like this? |

Just tried both of those, neither worked :'(
I only copied and renamed the save rather than the backup and/or the .cdi which one was I meant to do??? |

You are not the only one having this problem. Cyanide is currently working on finding a solution. Maybe you can help them by sending your save. Link to thread in the cyanide-forum: https://www.cyanid...p;start=21 |

Yes please add a comment on the forum with the link above. The more cyanide see that this is an issue the more likely they will fix it and it seems they have not recently responded in that forum so a reminder would be helpful |

There is another part to cruetrues first solution. Rename the file EVERY time you close the game (makesure you always exit to windows.) Otherwise everytime you try to play the game and it stuffs up you are screwing up the backup aswell.
At least this worked for me! |
