The most hotly contested area in the ProTour, and certainly the hardest to make a Top 10 out of. A whole load of other riders are capable of scoring a big result yet wont feature in this Top 10, and the Grand Tours looks set to be an exciting contest. Well, except maybe the Giro where Cunego looks odds on favourite to take a 4th successive title.

Who do you think will be the king of the mountains this year?

How could they ever be :-S
They are good yes, but who are they better than? There are 10 riders up there atm, and to be honest I wouldn't put neither Karpets nor Serpa in top 15 even.
Guys like Domenico Pozzovivo, Andrei Kashechkin, Franco Pellizotti, Yaroslav Popovych and José Angel Gomez Marchante are better than those... Atleast on paper...
Now I don't know exactly who is trained to what, but before trainings I would say that... |

Why the seeming lack of importance placed on TT? I understand and fully agree that MO is more important because if you're not up to par on climbing you'll lose time on 7 or 8 days (in a grand tour anyway but there are stage races besides those where TT plays a biger role) whereas if you have a weak TT you'll only lose time on two days at the most but Sella with 68 TT is going to lose minutes in a long TT which can be huge in a major tours not won by much more than that. Granted i haven't been following the Management Game that closely till now (but I must say it looks like a total BLAST and hope to get in on it sometime) are a lot of the big favorites with strong mountain and TT in the continental tour or retired?
Looks neat though Management Game seems like an awesome idea I'm way jealous to not be in on it

Dekker's stats are looking good and this year maybe he will take the revenge in the Tour and make Crue happy.

Yeah but karpets tt stat is god compared to them, this is the best top 10 stage racers not climbers.

True, but you have to look into every aspect. And imo, those guys up there will all be able to place themselves ahead of Karpets in the GT's selected for them I think. |
