Stage Profile

We should be done with the sprints for a good while now so it's time to start climbing. With five categorised climbs the KOM battle is likely the highlight of the stage, but we may get some GC implications as well. Let's see!

We start off climbing right away and many riders are looking to get into the breakaway. Our first focus is one these five riders as they cross the KOM sprint in order of:

Manfredi were dropped on the last climb and haven't gotten back. The front six remaining start the hardest climb of the day, Beettree Gap. 6.8 km with an average gradient of 9.6% is enough to test anyone's legs.

Tenorio just makes it over the line for the final KOM of the day, but there won't be a heroic ride for him here as he's about to be caught by a peloton reduced to 74 riders. The yellow jersey has been distanced so we will have a new race leader.
