Stage 4


The final stage of the race is a constant up and down in its entire 190 km. The final climb is longer than yesterday, so everything is set up for the final GC fight!

But first of there are up to 28 KoM points on offer. Only three riders got away with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/anz.png Piganzoli, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/trg.png Sheehan and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gla.png Geary, so taking over the KoM jersey is a realistic enterprise. Especially pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/trg.png Sheehan should be really happy with this group.

And the young American is still not content and also goes for some bonus seconds at the first intermediate sprint. With 43 km to go the gap is still at 3’28.

It’s the same picture at the last intermediate sprint. The gap is at 3 minutes now with 31 km to go.

The two attackers make it to the leaders with 7 km to go, but the chasing peloton is only 18’’ behind.

It’s all back together with 4.5 km to go. There’s only a short descent and then the final climb to come. The peloton consists of 72 riders, but no major rdiers have been dropped.
