After a calmer stage with the sprinters dominating, it's time for the showdown in Faso, as the riders will tackle one of the hardest stages in the year! If you don't like cobbles, you won't be writing home after tonight for sure!

Just two riders get into the break today - Behrens, Pagtalunan.
The break is already caught with 111 km still to go. The peloton is reduced to 77 riders.
Van Keirsbulck has been dropped! His whole team are with him. Scotson is even further back!
Both the dropped leaders make it back a few kilometers later.
Kuroeda is then dropped with 101 km to go. He would make it back a kilometer later. No puncture was reported, so maybe it was just a momentary loss of concentration.
Kumara attacks!
Kumara wins the first intermediate sprint. Boros and Teggart take the points from the pack.
Ariesen has been dropped.
Richardson is dropped with 90 km to go. The peloton is down to 28, behind the lone leader.
Van Lerberghe attacks 3 km later. Richardson has made it back.
GC leader De Witte and Teggart go next. That's a hugely bold move from the race leader!
The four attackers are together after a few kilometers. The lead the pack by 54", where only 16 riders remain. Boros is the among those dropped recently.
A lot happens over the next 7 kilometers. The attackers are caught while Sanogo takes advantage of the lull to attack!
De Witte is dropped! That attack seems more bewildering now. Scotson has also been dropped and is further back.
Teggart is dropped with 65 km to go. Those early attacks are taking their toll on everyone!
Monk, Basso, Mestric and Roosen are dropped next.
The pack is back together in the front group before the intermediate sprint. Kuroeda takes maximum points, ahead of Van Lerberghe and Kumara.
The Basso group makes it back.
Sanaogo and Kumara attacks again. The peloton has 23, with De Witte and Teggart also back now.
Kumara takes the win in th final intermediate sprint ahead of Sanago. Boros takes the final point, having himself just got back to the pack.
The attackers are caught. 32 km remain.
Van Lerberghe punctures with 21 km left. He makes it back after 4 kilometers of chasing. The peloton has 22.
Ariesen is dropped again. 11 km to go.
5 riders get away with 7 km to go. They are Richardson, Kuroeda, Kumara , Teggart and Van Lerberghe.
De Witte is dropped again!
There's further splits with 5 km to go. The situation is as below:
Richardson riders away from the other two with 3 km to go.
The Silva and Harrison groups are together.
Richardson leads by 59 seconds as he enters the final kilometer. The situation in the same behind him.
Richardson wins! In the end, it was comfortable.
Van Lerberghe edges out Kuroeda for 2nd.
Basso sprints to 4th ahead of Van Keirsbulck, Kumara and Chaturanga.
Teggart is 8th.
Nielsen is 9th.
Monk is 10th.
Harrison, Mestric, Roosen and Silva finish in close proximity for positions 11th to 14th.
Sheffield finishes 15th.
Today's winner - Chequan Richardson.
Richardson overcomes the early wobble to stamp his authority on the stage. Van Lerberghe and Kuroeda were always attentive today but didn't have that finishing kick to challenge for the win.

The stage and the GC almost reflect each other, with Kuroeda given 2nd ahead of Van Lerberghe on countback. There are some more similar switches in the Top 10 but nothing too dramatic.
