Stage 3 Report

Stage 3 of the Tour of Poland takes us into Warsaw. Pan flat but 233ks to test the legs, splits in the peloton seem like a possibility. A very small Cat 3 and two sprints along the way.

The organizers are pouting because they keep getting the favorites wrong, so they wouldn’t tell us their thoughts today.

8 men in the break, it takes them a while to come together but they do with 208k to ride and the gap already at 6’20. Renard and Huby go early and easily take 1st and 2nd at the KOM. Feldman gets up for 3rd. Peloton at 5’45 with 133k to go. Bolt-Eesti, Fox God and Hunter Valley doing the work.

The break doesn’t contest the 2nd sprint either. But some hesitation in the peloton about who should chase has meant their lead hasn’t shrunk and with 46k to go it is still 3’55. Right now, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/min.png Hamza on the front.

22k to go, the three helpers in the break, Huby, Hansen and Avila are caught. The rest of the break at 1’29. 1.5k to go. The Hunter Valley train has collapsed, Browning and Conci are not fast. In the middle Frame launching for Ganjkhanlou. But Bolt-Esti have the lead on the right with Page in front of Zariff. Hayakawa, Lutsenko, Zhao, Gabburo and Forbes fighting for his wheel. A little behind them on the right rail it is Tesfatsion ahead of Hodeg who has Stash and Sureda on his wheel.

Under the 1k banner the picture is about the same. Thijssen has swung over and picked up Gabburo’s wheel on the Bolt-Esti train while Hayakawa has moved up the middle and taken Zhao and Major as passengers.
