Welcome to Russia for another hilly classic for the CT. With the rather hard profile and an uphill finish itâ€™s no surprise that the best puncheurs of the division are the favourites today.

At the foot of the penultimate climb the break and all attackers are caught. With 29 km to go a peloton of 89 is still together.

There havenâ€™t been any attacks in the climb, so itâ€™ll probably all come down to the final climb.

Van Tricht tries his luck in the flat and has a 28â€™â€™ gap to the peloton with 9 km to go. The peloton itself is heavily reduced to 36 riders with quite some second-tier puncheurs already dropped.
