[C2] Tour du Faso
Welcome to Burkina Faso for the 16th edition of the Tour fu Faso. This race stands out as the longest stage race for the pure cobblers in the entire MGUCI circuit. In particular the third stage will be mayhem with nearly 100 km of cobbled roads.
The Tour du Faso is part of the calendar ever since 2009. There are some big names among the former winners. Richardson, Zhupa and Blythe are back, but none of them should be among the favourites for this edition.
Previous winners:

The field consists of only 12 teams, including 2 from the PCT.
GC:
The only way to win the GC is to be a good cobbler. And with a C2 start list and the singularity of this particular race there can only be one clear favourite: Zepuntke thrones above all his competitors as a pure cobbler.

Sprinters:
There’s probably only one opportunity for the sprinters, so the field is rather weak. This also means the race is wide open for every fast man.

One of the biggest races of the season for us, and I love to see we've got guys all over the favorites list (especially sprinters). Looking forward to seeing what Van Lerberghe and Roosen can do on the cobbles, we need a big score in this one badly. It also is our Top 5 goal race, so expectations are high.
Thanks for the preview kb!

We absolutely need this race to go as planned. We know our guys aren't great in final sprints or accelerations over the cobbles, but hopefully the short stages and long cobble sectors will be good for us with a very strong team over the cobbles. Small startlist is probably one of the better things we could have and liking where Tivani's sprint spot is as well.

A very interesting stage 1 to see the small attack make a difference. 6 in the top 25 for us is exactly what we expected here. No expectation to be at the total front, but happy to bank on some depth finally here. Sheffield also doing well as our 7th domestique.

Great to see the attacking intent from Roosen and good that Van Lerberghe picked up the sprint win from the peloton. Next we have some expectations with an opportunity for the sprinters. Off to a positive start!

I am happy with Nareklishvili finishing 3rd here... and Zepuntke stays as he did most of the season. Losing a print is fine but also 41 seconds isnt really what I hoped for ????
Thanks for the report!

I am satsisfied with the 2nd Stage actually, we only had Reinhardt here for normal sprints and he did well. Also we didnt lose time so all good. Lets see how the 3rd stage will be for us.

Did I expect the world out of the 3rd stage? of course not! But was that exactly what we needed and deserved - I think yes. Two good stage results, some depth GC, Sheffield with minor Youth placings - we are happy and glad that our team could advocate for Turtles in Burkina Faso... even though its landlocked.

Yeh expected finish for us. I don't think any of us made the time cut on the last day
Last month of the year should be good for us so moving on to Herald Sun and Zuri!
Thanks for all the reports and congrats to the winner

Hmm... I thought this would finally be Zepuntke's race, as he should easily come out on top of the expected carnage. Turns out, it wasn't that much carnage, with this big group finishing up front. So the S1 attacks turn out to be the race winning move, congrats to the podium riders!
At least Würth come out of the race with great depth points, but this really should have been a big win for them.
Thanks for the reports, Faso is fun to follow when you're not in it, absolutely correct

This is more than I could asked. Win goal with Moulingui GC win and Kolev on 5th place is amazing and more then expected.
Thanks for preview and reports.

What to think about this? I think its a good reflection of our cobbles season, not horrible and somehow decent but way below what we expect, wanted and planned.
Good things:
- Finally a good performance of Nareklishvili, happy with him
- Stage win of Zepuntke is great too
- 2 Top 5 in GC, also good
Bad:
- HOW?! I mean S3, 76 quadrillion kilometres of cobbles, how can he not crteate a gap there while being a LOT better on this surface than all the competition?!
- this leads to Zepuntke not winning the GC here, this race is designed for him! A Big L
Anyway, thanks for the reports and congrats to all who are happy with their results

Well, Zhupa proved to be at least reliable enough to get into the Top 10. WE also have some more ranking points thanks to Okbamariam in the GC and Evangelos in the U25 category. But I doubt this would be enough to hold off Spark for 6th.
Thanks for the reports

This was a really fun race to follow, thanks KB! Congrats to Tinxia for the huge haul. Thrilled with Van Asbroeck nabbing a stage and its always fun to see how Schäppi does when given leadership in C2 races.

Brutal result for us after a good start, Van Lerberghe just didn’t have the juice to last, congrats to Tinxia here, and more broadly for a great season!
Also congrats to Ezee for getting Zepuntke firing for the last stage at least.
Thanks for the reports KB!
