Custom Rosters in Career Mode?

Question:
I have an extensively edited roster that I use for tour races, etc.
I'm wondering if it's possible to use this roster (or create another) that can be used in the Career Mode? I.E. on loading into a new Career game, the team rosters will represent custom changes rather than the game's vanilla default rosters.
Thanks in advance, to anyone who can help with info/instructions.

well if you have your own roster you just have to select the db you have your edited roster in the main menu and start a career where it should appear as you have edited it!

so I thought, but somehow it resets to the default roster once you pick a team. Odd!

Gustav,
edited extensively using the in-game default editor as well as the Advanced 4.0 Editor. I have my current db file named 'master.cdb' in ...\My Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2008\Database directory.

Yep, can select in options so as to use in a Tour, for example. Just doesn't work in a Career.

You are talking about the .db for the whole game and not startlists for individualy races, aren't you?
If you upload the file here I'll give it a quick test for you. |

yes sir, I have separate .xml start list files for the TDF or Giro, for example. I'm talking about the .cdb file itself.
I do not have an .xml 'start list' file for Career mode, though, if that's what you meant?
Testing again and will post it if still stuck.

Your .cdb file should work though - sounds like you have done everything right.

Got it working - I figured I'd try the cache clearing tool and then reloaded into the game and checked the db was defined as default and in use.
Loaded Career and all is well.
Thanks to all who offered help. I'm sure to be back with another blunder soon.

Its not impossible but a bit of work.
And its possible only in a savegame and cannot prepared at the beginning of a career.
What to do?
You have to edit DYN_cyclist.xml (--> race-ID, driver status), DYN_team.xml (race ID) and DYN_team_race.xml (invitation status, race-ID, roster-IDs) of your savegame - and this works only directly the same day like the race starts... and only for the 1st race of the day (or the one your team is invited).
But with above method you can have the same cyclers like in RL in a race - and this in career mode, |
