Inspired by last year’s cobbled worlds the national cycling union has decided on a cobbled circuit.
Tiller and Ringheim are the favorites. Tiller has the advantage of a full team of professionals behind him.

Grieg not really interested in a large break and with 18k just 2 riders up the road and the gap is just 29 seconds. The escapees are Breen and Dversnes.
The break never gets far and with 20k to go a 22-rider lead group has formed. All of the names you would expect are here.
A series of attacks leave an 8-rider group out front with 12k to go. Included are Tiller, Ringheim, Dversnes, Breen, Resell, Foss, Leknessund, and defending champion, Halvorsen. Tiller and Ringheim have just launched a new attack. 2.4k to the last cobbled section.
8.6k to go and Tiller gets the first gap as they hit the final cobbled section. Jansen has bridged up to the front group and 5 more riders are very close, they are Bakke Christophersen, Berger, Hoelgaard, Gudmestad, and Johannessen.
By the end of the cobbles section Tiller has just a 4-second lead over a group including Breen, Ringheim, Jansen, Resell and Halvorsen. 29 seconds back to the next rider on the course so unless they slow down the winner will come from these 6. 5k to go.
1k banner for Tiller. His lead is up to 16 seconds. The others just couldn’t close.
But Halvorsen sacrifices himself to close the gap and with 500 meters to go he is across the gap but he has brought Ringheim, Breen and Jansen with him.
Ringheim blows past a tiring Tiller and Halvorsen and celebrates being the 2023 Norwegian National Champion.
Breen grabs second and Tiller settles for 3rd. Grieg not making great use of their numbers.

Time Trial
In the TT Haugard is the favorite and the defending champion.
Leknessund is the first serious contender on the course and he takes the hot seat by 1’22 from Galta
But Vangstad betters him soon after by 29 seconds. Korsaeth goes faster still and finishes 10 seconds up on Korsaeth but he is quickly beaten by Foss who cuts another 7 seconds off the best time.
Every finisher setting a new best time. Only Knotten and Haugard left. Can they continue the trend?
Knotten has 1k to go.
He is the new leader at the finish in a time of 1h10’13, 30 seconds better than Foss. Haugard last to finish.
He is still the Norwegian National TT champ. He wins by 31 seconds.
