New 2023 update has killed the game?

Hi! I used to be an enthusiastic PCM player about 10 years ago, but since then I've mainly had one super long save in PCM14 which I've played on every now and then.

However, a 3 MB update from earlier this month (first update in like 8 years) has rendered the game inaccessible for me.

The game now behaves as a fresh install and asks me to create a new profile with a 'player key' which I have no idea where to find (it's not the CD key). Or recover any old profiles with the same 'player key'. It has also created a new My docs folder called "Pro Cycling Manager 2014_DEBUG", and it doesn't make a difference if I copy the contents of the old My docs folder over to that one.

Also, any support links that steam provide (website, email etc.) are very outdated, it seems.

Probably unlikely that someone here still plays this game, but does anyone have any idea where to direct a support message? Would be a shame if I lost access to my massive savegame.

I have the same issues as you have described. Tried many things, nothing worked. I already contacted Cyanid, but no reply. Frustrating...
