The hot seat remains tided between Van Hooydonck and Vanthourenhout for a while, and they even have sizeable gap on Wellens. That is, until the favourites enter the frey, with Evenepoel first shattering their hopes.

Next, the chronos show that the victory will play between Campenaerts, Van Moer and Frison, the first having an advantage at the second timecheck.

And indeed, Campenaerts doesn’t flinch and wins by 6’’ on Van Moer and 21’’ on Frison. Evenepoel is a promising 3rd.
