Any of you who play PCM2013 experiencing problems with activating the license key? All I get is an error every time, a message saying;
Automatic activation failed.
If you have no Internet connection, you can perform the activation by other means.
Failure reason: Unable to connect to the activation server. Check your Internet connection and try again.
If the error recurs, press "Error report" and send the report to product technical support.
Can it really be true that the activation servers are deactivated? I'm so disappointed, any suggestions on how to proceed?

Yes it is whitelisted.
Seems like the activation server has been deactivated! Best guess.
There'll be hell to pay!! That sucks! They haven't heard the last from me..
Only that Cyanide don't give a crap. They're impossible to talk to, it takes several months to get an answer if you get one at all. The only reason I haven't gone all in and made their supprt line a living hell, is that I got it to work with a previous patch. Unfortunately that comes with a few issue, but it's playable.
I've been having the same error as above and was hoping that someone might be able to help. I still have my activation key but I can't access the computer which I had PCM13 installed on. I've sent an email to Cyanide but I doubt they will be able to help.
If there's some way of accessing the game again it would be great, particularly since I still have my old saved game and database files. If anybody knows how I can get it to work either through some registry edits or even removing patches as mentioned above, I'd be really grateful.

I can get the game to work with patch 1.0.2 I think it is, unfortunately not with the latest patch. It means controlling the national team is impossible, only TT works for that. It's no biggie though. Also the season training is not as modifiable as you can't tweak it, but you have to use objectives to keep riders in form for important races, a little annoying but you get used to it. Most annoying thing is that you can't see how many races you've planned for each rider, you have to do that manually, again when you get used to it, it's not so bad. Last but not least, only half of the teams are rigistred for La Vuelta, so if you can't plan the race in schedule you have to apply to take part in the race.
The game is definitely playable and I have a good save going on, so it's still fun even with these glitches.
Send me a mail if you want to get it to work. But if you have an old save game, I'm canøt guarantee it will work with a downgraded patch.

I will definitely give this a try. I was hoping there might be a way to edit the Windows registry to make the game run properly, but couldn't find anything online. That's fantastic to know that it will be playable with only a few minor flaws.
I tried applying the patch after installation and it didn't seem to make any difference. I will try a few more things and let you know if I can get it to work at all.
