"max points" section of rider profile?

Whats up everyone..

Does anyone know how the "maximum points" field of a rider's profile works?

for instance the CLE-ditor has a section on each rider's profile labeled maximum points.. unfortunately the description text is only in italian so i'm having trouble understanding how it works.. and also what does it mean if this section is blank on a certain rider.

Thanks for any help!

thats the latest version of the CLE-ditor, which is in English. hope that helps Wink

thats the one i'm using...

everything is in english except for the description that i mentioned.. it's still in italian.

It's the most amount of points that people can go up y or something. I never use it.

does 0 mean that the rider cannot progress anymore at all??

even a schleck has 0 points there in the end of 2008 without having progressed a lot (Mo 80, Hi 78, TT71)

edit: just looked up, jens voigt has 18 points (beginning 09, while loosing massively in stats) ... so, imho, it just cannot be the case thats this value represents some future potential (or this is a mistake)
