Hello everyone.
I have been reading your forum and articles for a long time and think it is a very good website.
I recently bought the game from play.com (my first cycling manager since CM1 lol) and when i start a stage on a career or individualy, the riders 'jump' every few seconds. I have all the minimum specifications with 502mb of ram. I also have the new patch which should have solved the problem.
Also, is there going to be a new patch soon that will correct it?
Thanks. |

it happens to me too once in a while. it's not a game problem, it's your graphics card. re-install the newest graphics drivers and reboot.
if in the future it happens again (probable), do the same again.
if you do not reboot IMMEDIATELY after installation of the drivers, it won't work. |

Thanks for the quick reply.
I just installed the lastest driver from Intel's website but i'm afraid it still happens.
I read on another forum that having shadows on can cause lag, could this be the case? I tried disc defag/disc cleanup/lowering the graphics settings but it just won't go away.
Any solutions would be appreciated. |

if you mean the riders looking like they're "shaking" or making small jumps in position every second or less, that's what fixes it for me. anything else, I don't know. sorry.

O no sorry i wasn't very clear.
The riders will go forward for about 2-3 seconds, then the game will pause quickly and resume again. The riders and peloton don't move continously, they stop and start. |

Just keep "dialing down" your graphics settings. Get rid of shadows, restart, check it. If problem persists, go down one setting in shaders, repeat.
Alternatively, you can set all your graphics settings to their lowest levels, see if the problem exists. IF its' ok, then start increasing your settings incrementally until you find the optimal conditions. |

I'm afraid the problem is still there even on the lowest possible settings.
I'm tempted to get a refund and try and buy pcm 06 instead and download the ppdb 07 database and patches. Then at least i will have a playable game and i will be able to use higher graphics settings. Any one have any links to a shop that sells 06?
I will still try to get 07 to work but i'm running out of ideas.
Thanks for your help

I still feel that PCM 06 with PPDB is far better than PCM 07, and a couple of the things coming out for v2 look great, which is why I'm holding off my career until then
