First time that i dont have an updated FA pool available to me for the ct draft so I'm quite curious which riders went unsigned so far.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Was very happy to get Sulvaran last year. This time I'll be a spectator, but there's a few guys I'm hoping to see get picked up.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

First up is a review of last year's draft.
Of last year's 40 riders, 10 remain with their teams after the end of this transfers. (Of course some teams have been lost). 3 remain in contract, but with different teams - 1 even made their way to the PT in a late deal!
With 30 picks taking place today, it is possible - though unlikely - that 27 could be filled by riders who were drafted last year.
This includes the best two performing riders of last year's draftees, sprinters Kip and Boev. Although Kip has decreased in stats since then.
Rider | Team | Draft Pick | Ranking Points | Current Team | Ismael Kip | Gjensidige Pro Cycling Team | 12 | 148 | Free Agent | Igor Boev | Philips | 20 | 136 | Free Agent | Maris Bogdanovics | Eddie Stobart | 9 | 65 | Eddie Stobart | Maciej Ulanowski | Nordica - Enel | 1 | 49 | Free Agent | Didier Munyaneza | Bralirwa - Stevens Bikes | 36 | 49 | Free Agent | Erick Rowsell | Carrefour - ESPN | 19 | 47 | Free Agent | Martin Mahdar | Team Europcar | 17 | 46 | Tafjord Kraft | Aleksandar Flügel | Gjensidige Pro Cycling Team | 29 | 36 | Free Agent | Sirak Tesfom | Project: Africa | 3 | 26 | Project: Africa | Andrea Pasqualon | Sotto il sole di riccione | 8 | 24 | Free Agent | Nathan Wilson | McCormick Pro Cycling | 11 | 24 | Free Agent | Darren Young | Carrefour - ESPN | 22 | 22 | Free Agent | Meron Amanuel | Team Europcar | 24 | 22 | Team Puma - SAP | Samuel Coronel | Los Pollos Hermanos | 6 | 19 | Free Agent | Gyasi Sulvaran | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 16 | 15 | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | Irakli Bablidze | Guave's Sunlight Cycling | 37 | 14 | Free Agent | Mihran Avetisyan | Guave's Sunlight Cycling | 4 | 12 | Free Agent | Michel Kreder | Philips | 21 | 12 | Free Agent | Pedro Merino Criado | Centovalli - Fiat | 14 | 11 | Free Agent | Nico Brüngger | Centovalli - Fiat | 27 | 11 | Free Agent | Steven Kalf | Tryg - Ritter Sport | 31 | 11 | MOL | Sandis Eislers | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 25 | 10 | Free Agent | Zhihui Jiang | Sauber Petronas Racing | 18 | 9 | Sauber Petronas Racing | Rasmus Mygind | Strava | 39 | 9 | Free Agent | Michael Schwarzmann | Nordica - Enel | 40 | 8 | Free Agent | Andre Alexander Gonzales | Los Pollos Hermanos | 35 | 5 | Polestar cycling | Clement Lhotellerie | Project: Africa | 38 | 5 | Free Agent | Damien Gaudin | Strava | 2 | 4 | Free Agent | Hakon Frengstad Berger | Eddie Stobart | 32 | 4 | Eddie Stobart | Cameron Scott | BNZ Cycling Team | 13 | 3 | BNZ-Superhero Racing | Mohammad Ganjkhanlou | Trans cycling team | 34 | 3 | Free Agent | Sean Hahessy | Glanbia Foods Cycling Project | 15 | 2 | Glanbia Foods Cycling Project | Bruno Silva | Sauber Petronas Racing | 23 | 2 | Free Agent | Adrien Niyonshuti | Bralirwa - Stevens Bikes | 5 | 0 | Free Agent | Andre Sotberg | Trans cycling team | 7 | 0 | Free Agent | Magnus Bak Klaris | Tryg - Ritter Sport | 10 | 0 | Tryg - Ritter Sport | Pier-Andre Cote | Glanbia Foods Cycling Project | 26 | 0 | Glanbia Foods Cycling Project | Pavel Kelemen | BNZ Cycling Team | 28 | 0 | Free Agent | Geoffrey Curran | McCormick Pro Cycling | 30 | 0 | Free Agent | Simone Consonni | Sotto il sole di riccione | 33 | 0 | Free Agent |

Lietaer | 70 | 67 | 76 | 59 | 74 | 71 | 70 | 67 | 66 | 71 | Max | 31 | 73.5 | - |
Our four new teams have made their first ever draft picks. It was a strong start with Barbero - the strongest OVL rider available, excluding the sprinters. He is a former Repsol - Netflix rider, and a Vuelta a Espana stage winner - Stage 2 of 2019.
Excluding sprinters is the theme so far too across the board - despite their history of being top picks. All three had contracts last year, riding for teams who disbanded - for Lietaer that was a PT ride too, with AirFrance.

Like Petilli most so far tbh... Probably my preference for hybrids And he could be there for quite a few more years.
Barbero, Lietaer and Hacecky could be great for breakaways though - all strong fighters

Hacecky is the best out of these picks. Because his TT stat is the highest. SMH

Aaand we have a sprinter Not sure whether he was picked for his Spr or Prl/TT tbh, as the low acceleration could really hurt him for the bunch sprints.

Avelino | 69 | 52 | 62 | 55 | 67 | 63 | 72 | 62 | 81 | 75 | Max | 34 | 74.5 | - |
Let's (mostly) go sprinting with old men! Three sprinters who have all declined since last season - hence the wait for a contract, which was not an issue previously. Oscar Avelino clearly the biggest MG name in there, and also the fastest Sprint stat rider of all left still available - his ACC leaves something to be desired, but he did score 310 PCT ranking points last season.
Mountain goat Moschella was in CT last year for Nordica - he scored 23 points.
