Write about your experiences with the patch here. Has the game improved? And what should be changed? |

Well I didn't download the "official patch" because I heard that it's the same from yesterday. well I can tell you it's more playable but I saw that it says that the F.O.D -5,-4,+4,+5 will rarely happen but I've played so far the first four TdF stages and it wasn't a day when my riders(at least two of them) to not get the -5,-4,+4 or +5. |

before the patch i couldnt even play more than one or two seconds in 3d-mode before runtime-error. i had "the reign of darkness"-bug and probably everything else. this morning i installed the patch without too many expectations, but: for about 4 hours of gaming it worked PERFECTLY; no crash, no lag (even in tdf)! i'm very happy now.
@lance_armstrong: i played about 9 stages and only in one stage a driver had +5. |

Well the sprint should be changed. Im getting beaten with riders like brochard 70 SP when im sprinting with 74's . Also it seems hard to stay away in a big break. Maybe make the green bar last a bit longer

Do you need to start a new career to feel the impact of the patch ??? |

Im playing my old career with gerolstiener and the patch has worked, the game doesnt crash. I just did a really hilly stage nearly 178 km and i finished.

it's fixed all the lagging, all the crashes and now the game is significantly faster. still lags with shadows...and that's weird.
anyway, still a bug...I can sign as many leaders as I want...supposedly there was a limit of 3.
now there are time cuts. good. breakaways seem more likely to make it. although that might be that I upped a lot of stamina stats on the DB (since I'd played a bundle of races before the patch and never saw a break make it.)

just watch closely and up the relay if they get dropped.
usually I keep the guy on relay (of course), but at 60%
once the pack starts chasing (closing the gap), I up the intensity accordingly.
if I up it sooner, it just means we'll get a bigger gap sooner and the pack will chase sooner...obviously bad.

if they catch you immediately it means your guy is either one of the favorites for the stage win or one of the candidates for the overall, and so is a marked man. they won't let him go.

That would explain it, so if i attack with a guy who isnt one of the faveroutes then hell get away? btw i was thinking of attacking with haussler about 15 k to the end, hes 1:30 of the lead but he is a big faveroute, any ideas?

15km to the end? the peloton is going brutally fast by then. either your guy is in good form and good on the climbs and you're attacking on a climb and hoping there's little flat to the finish or he won't even get away, never mind getting caught.
getting in a break must be at the start of the stage...when everyone attacks to get into the break....people who aren't favorites or are very much down overall will be allowed to go.
but if the stage is flat, it's pretty much odds on it's going to end in a sprint (except if there's cobbles)

Attacking 10km from the end would be a safer bet but 15km could work.

it ENTIRELY depends on the profile. what stage of what race is it?

Spritning starts at 3km, 15km could be ok but go too early and youll fade badly.
In the Tour of Britain, I went 99% full blue attack with Hammond 9km from the finish, I won by 30 seconds, but had nearly 2 red bars.
