Is it possible with an editor to create a new career, use a 2021 DB, save then edit the file to be 2021, not 2020?

You can change the start date of your career by changing game_i_starting_date in gam_config. But not sure if that is what you are trying to do. Man Game: McCormick Pro Cycling

Yes that is correct, start a career in PCM2020, with a 2021DB, just so the career starts in 2021, not 2020.

Well the 2021 PCM.daily DB for PCM2020 is available on the front page of this site. I expect they set that to start in 2021. If they didn't you can change it as noted in my prior post.
