Naming Cobbled Sectors

Hey I am having trouble getting the cobbled sectors on my route to display the name.

In the editor the update button seems to have no effect and when I click back a second later the name has just changed back to a generic "cobbled sector x" I asked the question on the official discord as well and the only reply was you need to press space bar but that doesn't work either. Anyone know why I have this issue and if there is an alternative way of naming the sector / road?
