Either:
- Send a PM to ManGame-Admin confirming you are applying for wildcards, and that the Wildcard selection file is in your Dropbox folder.
or
- Send a PM to ManGame-Admin confirming you are not applying for wildcards.
Those that are applying should ensure their transfer sheet also indicates which categories have been applied for.
PCT teams slowly should know if they want to participate in any Pro Tour events and likely know for what kind of wildcard they want to apply.
As usual, there are two wildcard spaces available for all PT races, Grand Tours and Monuments included. There is a package cost for applying to a particular race category - you can apply to as many races as you like within a category, once you have bought the package.
Prices are the same as last year:
Classics
€30,000
Monuments
€50,000
Classics and Monuments
€70,000
Stage Races
€70,000
Grand Tours
€100,000
Grand Tours and Stage Races
€150,000
All PT Races
€200,000
Points scored by PCT teams in PT races do not count towards the PCT standings, and the races do not cost any race days. Race clash rules do apply though. Riders will gain XP too, if relevant.
Priority for Grand Tour wildcards goes to teams who have not previously ridden a GT.
The Wildcard Selection file is now available. The races are all listed now, so just put a priority number in the box by each race that you wish to apply for. There is a limit of 16 races that you can apply for.
You should also fill in your team name, in the box above the races.
Timing
You may need to wait until your transfer activity is finished to see how much money you have for purchasing wildcard options. That's fine - but the sooner you submit your wildcard request, once you are done with transfers, the better.
Wildcard allocations need to be decided before your Race Planner file can be provided to you.
However - if you want to start race planning already, here's a tip:
- Take one of the PT race planner files
- Unhide all race columns
- If you populate row 4 with 1s for races you intend to ride, and 0s for those you don't, you can run the in-built Hiding macro to effectively create your planner. Else, you can also just manually hide columns.
A note to all PCT managers, several of you might have added the info into the transfersheet but it is needed to also fill out the wildcard file with priorities!
Quite a few missing still.
So please upload this one and send a PM to MG Admin.
