Duo and his pupils are back for a second run. The first birth of the green polygots may not have been the most successful one, but their enthusiasm is yet to be stopped. Another attempt at securing PT kilometers is on the cards as the squad sets off in preparation for the 2020 season in the Swiss Alps.
We have been fortunate to be on the receiving end of the materfully skills of aidanvn13, whom having reclaimed back his place in the Man-Game peloton, was kind enough to continue his long story of kit-production for our teams. His much appreciated artwork will hopefully help motivate our riders to new heights this season.

Into the 2020 season we gathered the boys for contract discussion. This is what we came up with:
| | | Wage | Availability | | Rafael | Reis | € 290 000 | Yes | | Yoshimitsu | Hiratsuka | € 50 000 | Positive | | Frederico | Figueiredo | € 100 000 | Hypothetical | | Antonio | Barbio | € 50 000 | Mysterious | | Choon Huat | Goh | € 85 000 | Ratified | | Bruno | Borges | € 322 000 | Questionable | | Nicola | Bagioli | € 50 000 | Existent | | Ivo | Oliveira | € 70 000 | Doubtful | | Rui | Oliveira | € 50 000 | Flimsy | | Walter | Trillini | € 50 000 | Detected | | Dominique | Cornu | € 70 000 | Plausible | | Nikita | Razumov | € 130 000 | Not impossible | | Markus | Kopfauf | € 50 000 | Acknowledged | | Shane | Archbold | € 50 000 | Apparent | | Tim | Merlier | € 70 000 | Possible | | Oscar | Avelino | € 190 000 | Concrete | | Zakkari | Dempster | € 80 000 | Unequivocal |
Different kinds of availability for our riders in the upcoming transfer market, but the gist of it is that the administration is willing to negotiate almost everyone. We must also ackowledge that the following men have been relieved of their contracts and are free to negotiate their future. We thank each everyone of them for their services, especially Nascimento who has been with us a good number of years now.

@Abhishek: I have to admit mine too
@jandal: forgot to include the term "Party-pooperish", which I think you'll agree is pretty conclusive and informative.

Am I ready to contemplate more disappointment from another stage racer who TTs well but shows a limited understanding of what climbing entails? Yes, yes I am...

Bruno Borges
Antonio Barbio
Rui Oliveira
As ever, portuguese continues to be a proeminent subject. It has admitedly less teaching peers in our ranks. Borges assumes the position of sole leader in the hilly lessons. Oliveira should help him while developing his own language skills. Barbio will provide a helping hand to our alrounders
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zakkari Dempster | Damien Howson | Shane Archbold | Choon Huat Goh |
English keeps its relevant position in our roster as well. Timed practice is an important way to improve fluency and as such chrono men gain relevancy. Goh will essentially play a supporting role to Borges.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dominique Cornu | Tim Merlier | Gijs van Hoecke |
In 2020 we decided to keep our strategy of teaching belgian french, which provides us the opportunity of including flemish bonus lessons for cobbles fans. Cornu as one of our seniors will be acting as timekeeper while our junior colaborators are going to be dealing with social media demands of said cobbles fans.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nicola Bagioli |
Our junior pizzaiolo did well in 2019 to provide gastronomic relief to our polyglot captains. We expect him to be fully capable of cooking and delivering those pizzas on his way to becoming a luxury object of mediocre italian puns.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walter Trillini
Spanish is going to be taught by an argentinian. The reason IS simple: the manager likes asado. Trillini though is someone we know can be trusted more than a mere meat turner but rather someone we hope will be turning others into meat.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nikita Razumov
Alexandr Kulikovskiy
Nikita has learned enough from Trofitruffles and is now tasked with teaching how to read upside-down letters and pronouncing half the consonants of the alphabet in single words. The best paid stagiare in world history is also with us here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Markus Kopfauf
Gerald Ciolek
Youth and seniority combine to produce this year's german department. One for the intros the other for finales. Time will tell if we're looking at valuable assets or just a plain waste of lingots
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yoshimitsu Hiratsuka
Japanese is always a language in demand so Yoshimitsu stays with us. Looking after our mountainous escapades and who knows maybe a surprise outdoor lesson atop Mount Fuji
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyeng Ho Min
Continuing the climbing trend, Min is one of the newest contributors on the team. He's going to start cracking those Korean lessons, but we expect him to really flourish only in 2021.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Robert Gesink
Yoeri Havik
And then come the dutch. We're counting on these two to bring a sizeable amount of newcomers and especially a lot of crowns. Gesink especially was a transfer long overdue in the incubation phase this transfer season, but now he's with us we're hoping good things to come our way!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Elias Abou Rachid
Arabic is on the cards this year as well. A cheap acquisition to finish up the squad, Rachid is someone we hope to see grow within our ranks for years to come.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zoltan Sipos
Hungarian is not for the faint-hearted and as such, a meritable tutor has also been brought in. Zoltan is not only fluent in his native language, but he can also type stuff in a keyboard. Not only that he can do it in a remarkably aerodynamic way. Two things we value here at Duolingo, which made him an opportunity we couldn't pass on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kristian Sobota
Nordic quality colaborators have been hard to come by, but we stumbled upon Kristian. The danish will provide a solid launchpad for fast lessons, but can also be counted on to represent us on lower levels of learning which represents a nice bonus for us.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Norman Vahtra
Siim Kiskonen (loaned in)
Lastly, we bring you our pair of young Estonians. "But you don't teach Estonian in your app, how can you possibly ruin such a well-structured masterpiece of a narrative?" I hear you ask. The answer is they are both hardcore Star Trek fans, mind you, which means Klingon is going to be kickstarted by them. Take that, you loophole hunters!

Team building living up to the sponsor Great presentation too!
Honestly think you've rebuilt well and have a good chance of promotion this time. Gesink is one to watch out for and I hope Havik can do better for you than he did for us last season

I didn't enjoy facing Gesink last year and I'm pretty sure I won't this year also
I wonder how Ciolek will do for you after his 2nd decline as he was still solid for me last year and I'm always keeping an eye on our former loanee Rui Oliveira

Abhishek: I have to say I was hoping to build a stronger team. My guess is we will be more or lessin the same spot we were last season - 1st half of the table but missing out on the greater prize.
redordead: Apologies but I hope he continues to be a nuisance to you Will mirror that behaviour especially since you brought in two riders I was eyeing but ultimately decided to go for 2nd or 3rd tier alternatives.

Now you have me intrigued who those two riders are
