equipment
ramtam
Hi

I wondered what you think would be the best equipment combination for a flat, hilly and mountain stages?

CrueTrue
Isn't it rather self-explanatory in the game? After all, you can see what equipment is most optimal for each category (flat, mountain, tt).

Question 1: No
Question 2: Not for 3D races, yes for simulated races

First, you don't see the ratings until you buy the equipment. I'm interested in what you would get with different budget limitations.
second, what about hilly stages? what's the right balance between flat and mountain equipment?

In real life the only thing that makes a difference to Flat and Mountain are the wheels. Helmets dont do anything. For climbing low profile rims are very good, Light and stiff. For flat Deep section wheels are the best, Aerodynamic and roll better. I hope that Databases take things like that into account.

on hilly stages the race is decided uphill, so i choose the same equipment for hills and mountains

Play stage race find which combos are the best then purchase them in season mode

I dont think equipment has a big effect in the end so why bother trying that out?

Why wouldn't it. I would rather race on flat with 52 than with 31 just in case anyway.
