Is Pro Cyclist Mode too easy?

I simmed through a season on Pro Cyclist mode just to see how my 19 year old would progress. This means the only bonuses I got were monthly experience points.

Yet my cyclist (Time Trial/ secondary focus Climber) was 77 in Time Trial , and 73 (I think) Climbing at the end of one season.

I am sure had I 3d raced I would have got a lot more experiences. This is putting me off as it seems far too quick a progression.

What is your experience?

It depends. Let's say you get 65xp per month. Let's say you get that from January. It means you'll get somewhere around 700 xp from just simming. That means you'll get around 6 upgrades. So if you spend that 6 lvl on upgrading abilities of your cyclist, while giving him TT training... you get what you get.

You can postpone a bit your progression by giving your rider potential upgrade.

My first serious attempt was a stage-racer with "very good" potential. I don't know if there is difference in number of lvls you can upgrade your stats... if no... you actually have around 15-16 upgrades throughout carrer. Not much especially when half of that is coming in the first 10 lvls.
