Number of teams in a race

Hello all,

Just simply - is there a way using the editors, to change the number of teams the program expects to enter a race?

for example: I only want 10 teams that I hand pick to enter the Tour de France.

It's very easy:

1) Open the DB with the Full Editor,
2) Go to the STA_race.xml file into your Exports/Database folder in the Full Editor's directory,
3) Open it with Office 07 / OpenOffice,
4) Search for the raceID numer 25 (Tour de France)
5) Correct the invitationlist with the team ID's on the DYN_team.xml file.

Maybe this is too rough and fast explained, but I hope someone can teach you more patiently. Those are master guidelines Shock

Found this thread.
Tried the above but this does not seem to work when I want to enlarge the number of teams...
Any idea what to do if I want 23 teams instead of 22 teams in a race?

I'm pretty sure that 22 teams is the maximum that the game can handle. I may be wrong, though.

Thanks for your quick reply but I doubt that.

I managed to have 25 teams in a race with adding 25 ID's to the IDlist in race.xml AND using the STA_invitation_state.xml (25 x status "invited" for the same team IDs).

This worked for a SAVEGAME and also for SINGLE RACES.

But it does not seem to work for a PRO TOUR race when I want to spread 5 WILDCARDS instead of 4.
